I love Green Pepper! I've been a few times now, and the seafood la-po-keep is my favorite. The prices have definitely gone up a bit in recent years, but I don't think they're outrageous. The food is delicious and the restaurant is adorably decorated. The service is relatively hands-off aside from taking our orders and refilling waters, but I often prefer that when I come to chat with friends. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

The fried chicken was great but very expensive for just wings. The tteokbokki was just okay.

Incredibly fast, fresh, and delicious. My first Korean food and it was incredible. Can't wait to come back and enjoy more of the food! Seriously check it out and the environment was so cozy.

As someone who loves Korean BBQ, I am saddened by the fact that Pittsburgh does not have any actual ‘true’ KBBQ spots (lots of great Korean spots, but none where you actually have the grill top at your table to cook the meats yourself - still waiting on K Pot!!). However, we get takeout from Green Pepper once a week and we love it. Great quality meats, best we’ve found so far in PGH (just wish we had the endless banchan ;)). We’ve never dined inside but from pics it looks like a cute chill spot. FYI every time we get our order it’s still piping hot (especially the kimchi stew) so the food travels well!! I get the grilled pork belly every time, and my husband gets the bulgogi. Both excellent options, both come with white rice and you can add kimchi and lettuce. The pork belly comes with a lot of jalapeños which I loooooooove!

I highly recommend Green Pepper for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Korean cuisine. I tried them last week because the normal Korean restaurant I used to frequent had closed permanently after the pandemic.Green Pepper's menu offers a fantastic variety of authentic Korean dishes, each bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. Whether you're a fan of classic favorites like bulgogi and kimbap or looking to try something new, this restaurant did not disappoint. I will definitely be ordering again!

Another great Korean staple in Pittsburgh! First time coming here in person, though I frequently order on meal delivery apps. The seating seemed quite ample. Upon being seated, we were directed to get our own utensils, water, etc. from a station on the side. The seafood pancake was satisfyingly fried and crunch, and the bibimbap also crisped up nicely in a hot stone pot. Will definitely continue to order from here!

Green Pepper was floated to me as an authentic Korean barbecue joint where you can get a taste for the real stuff. I was interested, so I made the pillgrimage to Squirrel Hill to attempt to get my hands on some. And that I did, successfully. To which, I have to agree with the word. The food felt very much like stepping into another culture. Just as much as stepping into the place, I got a vibe that this was very much a breath of fresh air from somewhere far away. From the Korean patrons studying or working from their laptops, to people stopped in with a few different items, I was sold.Eating the food was just as good.I will say, the most difficult step will likely be navigating the menu, and to that end you might have a better time stopping inside. Ordering online and making the trip, I was indecisive, and that might have weighed down my experience.Even so, there is no doubt that there is plenty great here that you should try when the mood strikes you!

This is my first ever Korean Restaurant experience (I normally eat Chinese, Thai Jamaican or Japanese food) my friend recommended this place so we went. Wow, the food is amazing!! I can't remember how to pronounce all of names of these foods, but they were all good!!! There's this sushi-like roll and that's my favorite. I then ordered spicy chicken and it's on point. My husband ordered beef and that was great too. Overall great experience and I'm definitely gonna try more Korean food in the future!

Great food, good service, food arrived promptly. Overall great Korean flavors . We had several entrees that were amazing. Don't sleep on the egg soup. I will still give this restaurant a 5 star review but wouldve liked to see a kids menu , we did bring 4 kids and it was hard to order for them since a lot of the dishes were spicier. Besides that I will definitely be coming back!I will make a Tiktok review @ShadowKitten20

High price for mediocre food. First of all, you don't get any banchan. I got the fried chicken appetizer, cold noodles, and bibimbap. The fried chicken was probably the best out of the three. It was crispy and came with a lot sauce. I feel like it was too much sauce, though. The cold noodles had a nice texture but the sauce/soup was pretty off. It had a strong tomato-y taste to it instead of the sweet/spicy that I was expecting. The bibimbap came with tons of beef, which was nice. However, it was lacking in the variety of toppings. I feel like kimchi is usually given as a topping for bibimbap but it did not have any. Lastly, the rice was so mushy and overall just not great.
