I was there for the soft opening on Friday. Pretty nice joint, they're going to give the other places. A break that are in a local area. They've been overwhelmed for years. We need more in this area. Good luck I hope it lasts

Grist house was one of our favorite breweries, We love being able to bring our puppy as well as meet up with those in our lives who have kids. Service has always been amazing. However I recently reached out to inquire about a private event.. and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. They said yes they could accommodate my party and date. But communication is severely lacking each Correspondence take over a week to hear back and takes me reaching out multiple times via email before i even get an initial response. I know they are busy with the new venue opening and football season coming back but i wish they would have told me no instead of stringing me along, as now it is two weeks before my event and i don’t even know if i have a venue due to them not answering me I have emailed twice, tried to call ( they dont even have a active phone), and reached out via instagram. just overall sad and disappointed in this experience after being a frequent visitor of grist.. i hope in the future they can improve on this so others can have an enjoyable experience planning an event there.

Love this place! The space is amazing with huge outdoor/indoor seating and nice big circular bar. They have a great variety of styles - all were great. You can try a bunch of 10oz pours or stick with 16oz. Their merch is really nice too! I can see myself coming here again and again; definitely one of the more notable Pittsburgh breweries.

First visit. Great vibe; all sorts of people, all having a great time on a beautiful spring evening. Beer selection is very wide and ranged beyond the IPA-heavy selections of many other brew pubs, and the beers we tried were all good. Dog-friendly, and it was cool seeing so many canine companions with their people. I will be going back.
