My family and I stopped in when I was visiting from out of state. A native Pittsburgher, I love visiting shops in my hometown and decided to put this one on my list for the weekend. Jess was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and patient with our many questions to find teas to suit our tastes. My haul will last me for some time, but I’m already eager to place an online order in the future. My family was also so excited that they got a teapot to use each night, too, for their new teas. A wide selection of traditional teas, some hard to find products in the States, and unique blends make Gryphon's a stand out experience. We had a delightful evening tea with excellent recommendations for our differing tastes. When asked for a recommendation on whether I should have milk or not, Diana said oat milk and then unexpectedly frothed it for me.Then......an hour after closing, I realized I had left my phone inside. I messaged Gryphon's and Diana came back to let me in. She opened the door with a smile, not annoyance. Thank you for the lovely tea and help!

This place was fabulous! Owners were so sweet and had a great vibe. So many types of tea, they were so knowledgeable in all of them! Free smells, and all of the smells are delicious. I picked up 3 oz. of a vanilla rooibos that was so good. Had instructions printed out on the package to best serve and enjoy. I appreciated that!
