From scratch-made dishes that transported me to merry days, to an abundant selection of salads, pilaf, and savory baked goods, every bite was a celebration. Celebrated a special occasion here (they're perfect for anything from birthdays to anniversaries), and the two women owners couldn't have been more accommodating. “I ordered via Uber Eats. I had a question about the menu so I called the restaurant but they did not answer. I was surprised when they called me back ...when does that ever happen?! My order arrived exactly as I ordered it and they didn't miss any of the sides. They have a huge selection of desserts and I got the sweet potato pie, it tastes like my 95 yr old grandma from Tennessee made it! Get the homemade healthy green tea drink, you won't be disappointed! The portions are huge... but I'm most impressed with the more flavorable twist on traditional hibachi. ❤ keep it up. I found a new spot!!“

“Usually I make the short trek to the city for Mediterranean food, but today I tried Googling for somewhere a bit closer to me. I am so glad I stumbled on Hanadi’s! The baba ganoush, tabouli, shish tawook, and shawarma were all incredible - better than anywhere I’ve tried in Pittsburgh! The prices were fair and the staff were all really nice. “Short review: Best Food in Pittsburgh Ever. Long review: It took us a while to find, but this restaurant is a real hidden gem. I really struggle to find authentic food in Pittsburgh area that’s affordable. As soon as you walk in the restaurant, you KNOW it’s going to be good just by the decor and the smell. Ismoil and Odil at the front were so kind and willing to help. I will be coming here as long as I have $10 to spare for a gyro(which is HUGE and very good) If you like try delicious food you HAVE to come here!“

“I wasn't sure what to expect from a restaurant in Walmart, and I was pleasantly surprised! Ordered a chicken platter, the serving was generous, the chicken delicious, especially with the addition of the cucumber salad and the white & green sauce. My only complaint....seems the soda machine isn't in use, so we were left with just canned/bottled drunks. Even so, I'd eat here again!“

“5 months since my very first time in July I've been dreaming about Chaykhana's Uzbek plov. It was my first time experiencing Uzbeki Cuisine and plov. Today I had the opportunity to indulge again and the food here is phenomenal. Without Chaykhana's presence in Pittsburgh and their community events - it would not had opened me up to the world of related cuisines with deeper appreciation. Uzbekistan was the meeting point and hub of exchange. I hope that centrality of converging cultures blesses Pittsburgh with continuous diversity and acceptance.“

“Where can I begin… the food was delicious! Friendly service and real conversation. My family and I are from Indiana visiting for the weekend and we wanted to try Grandma B’s. Went on Saturday morning and it was so impressive we said “We’re coming back tomorrow before we leave!” Only to return Sunday morning and they had standing room only! Sadly my party and I were just going to head back to Indiana, hungry when they called us back in and said”We’re going to make room for you all up top.” They proceeded to prepare another area upstairs to accommodate our party! Hands down best food in service in Pittsburgh!“

“This place is a godsend for people who work night shift, or just night owls in general. Their food is always so good, from the vegetables being cold and crisp, to the meats being hot, Juicy and packed with flavor. I also say it’s definitely one of the best falafel gyros that I’ve had in recent memory. Always two lines of white sauce one line of green one line of red.“

“Anyone who knows me, knows I love supporting small local businesses. The food was outstanding, but I was surprised at the plastic flatware/napkin in a sealed plastic bag and not real stainless steel flatware. Prices were inline with other Indian restaurants I have been to. Unfortunately, it's street parking in an already crowded street because of apartments. Would I recommend? Absolutely. Would I go back in the future? You bet I would!“

“First time ordering at a halal joint outside of NYC and was not disappointed. Beef Schwarma is mouth watering. Appreciated an extra slice of pita for my picky child that was given on the house too!“

“In Oakland pa best fresh halah food made in front of you. No question if it is fresh, made in front of you no question. Chef Maher is on top of his crew and food. I Recommend them from lunch to a late night dinner.
