I used really like their food initially but since past few times, it has been very disappointing. NO MOMO chutney on the side anymore. MOMO HAS ZERO TASTE. NOT EVEN SALT they put for the Jhol and steamed ones.
The food was awesome. We were driving home from DC to Michigan and stopped by for lunch. People who operated the restaurant were very kind and polite. Kudos to them. Will go there again when we are in Pittsburg.
Late dinner no one else was there. Appetizers panipuri the jaljera was like water with not much flavors. Chili chicken was so oily and not cooked well we didnt fully eat it. Chilli Momo was decent. Samosa chaat was good. Fried Rice was too much of oil again and we couldn't finish it. Service could have been better. No one was there for serving either have to wait or call them out from the kitchen. It was recommended by a friend we drove all the way to try it out. Very disappointed 😞.
This place is a hidden gem! It’s a small restaurant with just a few tables, but the warmth of the host and waitstaff makes up for any deficiency in space. We had the chicken momos which were absolutely delicious, the filling was tasty and the cover was soft and translucent as it should be. The chicken chowmein noodles were also nice but don’t order these if you are expecting the Indo-Chinese version. This was different, with more spices and even peas, chickpeas.
The star was the thali dinner. We got the chicken thali which was fantastic. The chicken curry was flavorful but not spicy, each component of the thali was well seasoned and cooked. I can safely say that this is the best home style thali I’ve had in the US.
Well managed and polite with good attitude customer service and very tasty food.
Very clean quiet atmosphere. Food was awesome pleasant to the pallet!
Food is awesome ??... Food is similar to Indian cuisine, but with a twist... The restaurant and bathroom is clean... And the service is awesome... I usually try to stop there every chance I get, since I don't live in the area... But when I'm in the area, I stop and order to go... The two owners are very polite... Biryani dishes are a little spicy... But they have different dishes that are not spicy if you don't have a tolerance for spice... So I recommend people to stop at this restaurant if you're looking to try different cuisine from the usual American cuisine or fast food places you're used to eating... If you stop at this place for the 1st time, you won't be disappointed... And you will eventually become regular?

Very high quality, delicious, and authentic Nepali restaurant. They also have a few Indian options as well, like the classic curries and such. The prices are all extremely fair and quite cheap, and portions are adequate. I got to try their kothey momo dumplings and a mango lassi.
The kothey momo dumplings were extremely tasty. They are filled with lots of vegetables and some sort of meat, which I think is pork. Very tasty, and they do not go sparingly on the spice. Filling too.
The kothey momo come with a choice of sweet or spicy sauce on the side. I ordered the sweet sauce. However, the sweet sauce wasn’t very sweet — it was actually quite spicy. Maybe they gave me wrong sauce, or maybe even the sweet sauce is extremely spicy.
The mango lassi was pretty good, but not anything too too special. Creamy, sweet, and it hits the spot. For $5, not a bad portion, but nothing too great either.
All in all, quite enjoyed this spot. Nice, flavorful, and spicy Nepali food. The setting itself is relaxed and it’s easy to miss. But, stopping by is worth it.
Vegetarian options: Classic vegetarian Indian options, and a few Nepali options that are veg
Dietary restrictions: Decent healthy options, good curries for those on a low carb diet

This place is exceptionally underrated. I have never tried Nepali food before, and it didn't disappoint. Nepal sits just between northeast India and Western China and the food feels very much as if that's the case. There's a lot of incredible spices and preparations of the foods that will remind you of both cuisines while being really unique in themselves.
We started with the Sadeko Momo Dumpling stuffed with chicken. Wow! They fry the dumplings and then toss them in a delicious blend of spices and top them with a fresh slaw. It's unbelievable and one of my favorite new dishes I've tried in a while.
Then, after that, we had the Nepali Thali with pork. It was a perfect assortment of bites that all had great, unique flavors. The pork belly was in a really unique curry.
Both of these together were more than enough food for the two of us.

My sister and I have friends who used to make delicious momo with us. It was so fun folding the momo and eating them together. Our friends have sadly moved away, and we've been missing this ritual. Himali Kitchen is the best place we've found since our friends moved to make up for missing them. They have the closest flavor to homemade momo! We've tried every type and they're all delicious. If you're in the general Pittsburgh area Himali Kitchen is a must!
