Best chicken paprikas I’ve ever had.
Excellent family run spot. A hidden gem with delicious food. Keep in mind the kitchen closes an hour before close (6pm for us).
Great view from the terrace and a wide wine selection.
The chicken paprikaš was amazing. This place is a gem. Wish we had something like it in Baltimore. Call to make a reservation and arrive no later than 6:30. Kitchen closes at 7pm.
This is my first time to a Hungarian restaurant. And I was not disappointed. The inside of the bar restaurant looks like you're walking into the past. We ordered some of the more traditional Hungarian dishes. And we were really impressed by the care for which each one was prepared. I got to meet the owner who told me the restaurant had been open for about 10 years now and that it was best to get a reservation before you go. We had so much fun eating and trying new dishes. Parking is a little tight but you can park on the street. We were here to celebrate Father's Day and although I am of Polish and German descent, I now think of myself as an honorary Hungarian. Highly recommended!
Great meal at an authentic Hungarian restaurant. Lovely owners cook each meal fresh & with love ☺️
Owner was very friendly, food was delicious!
This was my first time here and it was amazing!! It is my new favorite place. The owner is a sweetheart and I loved everything about this restaurant from the warm welcome, to the food, the beer, and the decor was perfect! Thank you!! ❤️
If you're a Hungarian food lover, we'd recommend giving Huszar a try! The owners are both Hungarian, and it's a delight to engage Judy in conversation about the country and the cuisine. Hubby had the chicken paprikas and loved it, plus the gulasch soup, which he proclaimed tasted just like his mother's. (Luckily to his mind this was a good thing! Nostalgia!) I ordered the mushroom paprikas and the creamy onion soup, both of which were vegetarian and I found them quite enjoyable. We finished with cherry strudel for me and a crepe for him. If we lived in the area, we'd definitely be back. I enjoy supporting smaller restaurants with authentic food and atmospheres, both of which we found at Huszar.
Authentic Hungarian cuisine, real family restaurant. Tried several meals, all were great. Perfect hosts!

This wasn't my first time at Huszar, but we dined with friends and they had not been there before. As usual, the food was authentic Hungarian and delicious. The restaurant is a converted bar with just a few tables. I have described it as a great, little, hole-in-the-wall place. The ambience (well there is none), but if you are looking for a great meal at a great price, you can't go wrong at Huszar.
The food was wonderful, as always, but the owner did nothing but complain about the fact she had to work. We ordered an app that we didn't get. Her husband basically threw our plates on the table and left. She told me I couldn't have a mixed drink because she was busy. The next time I want to hear a Boomer complain about how hard their life is, I'll listen to the president.
Chicken puplikash is delicious 😋

Hubby and I wanted something different for New Years dinner. Something where that wasn’t going to be packed with revelers for First Night. Huszar’s was the perfect choice. We had the Langos, a fried bread appetizer that was so good. Not greasy, just a perfect crispy outside with a pillowy interior basted with garlic butter and topped with sour cream and shredded cheese. Dinner was Chicken Paprikas and the Stuffed Chicken Breast. The doughy dumplings were the perfect side to the paprikas. The plate left the table empty. Hubby had stuffed chicken breast and all I heard was yummy noises from his side of the table. And lastly, we had the Nutella Crepe. A wonderful end to our dinner. Definitely recommend Huszar for a nice intimate night out.
Wheelchair accessibility: Main entry is sidewalk level with tables able to accept wheelchairs.

So Good! Highly recommend. True authentic Old World cuisine. The flavors are wonderful. Kindness is repaid with kindness and respect. Bring the whole family here! Call ahead please. The paprikash as good as Mama made. They know what they're doing here, trust the menu!
