We came here after a show at the Benedum Center for a few cookies. They were out of the peanut butter cup deluxe cookies, out of the limited edition cookies, and had nothing vegan left. The cookies we got were good but the deluxe confetti cookies were like 2 times bigger than the deluxe chocolate chip cookies. There is a sign for a restroom in the main area but we were told we couldn’t use it because it’s for employees only.

Food is inconsistent in quality but if your'e hungry enough at a late enough hour, the amount of sugar in these cookies really goes a long way and makes up for it.

For how expensive the ice cream is I would at least expect it to not be freezer burnt. Dreamweaver is one of my favorite ice creams ever… but two or three times I've been there it has been freezer burnt. Also the scoop sizes are EXTREMELY inconsistent. One time I ordered 3 scoops and my friend ordered 1 and it was the exact same amount of ice cream in each. And the workers just never look happy or inviting. I’ve worked at an ice cream place and it’s kind of ridiculous, the attitudes on some of the workers… and then they expect tips.

Was there 1:15 pm and no one was there. Didn’t notice the note on the door. Went to stack burger and and ate was on point and recommend. Came back to insomnia and wanted another 15 min and there was a note that said in basement be back soon. Several customers left tired of waiting. Melvin shows up and says excuse me. Unlocks the door. I asked if he needed help and that we have been waiting for over 45 min. Gave me attitude and was very unfriendly. I came into store and told him I was just trying to make conversation and he once again ignored me. Ordered 6 cookies and he said something that my girl did not hear and he processed the order. When we get to the upmc hospital to find we only got 4 cookies. Very unprofessional and I’ll never go there again. Was my first and last time I’ll do business with them.

The food was ok - I mean how can insomnia cookies be bad. But the ice cream flavour names were covered and the staff did not tell us what they were called so we had to play a game of guess the flavor based off the color. Thought we got some yam ice cream but got a weird chocolate flavor instead that was purple. Everything else was good. The apple cookie was delicous.

I think one of the biggest factors which work for insomnia cookies is the fact that they’re open till late night. I have had cookies from insomnia, a couple of times and have always found them to be just above average. A lot of other places in the city have much better cookies, but again. I have turned to insomnia just because I’m craving something at night. They have the classic as well as some new flavours. I particularly like the one with smore sis because of the chewy texture of the cookies. They also do ice creams and ice cream sandwiches and brownies, but I’ve never tried those.
I ordered 4 boxes of six for teachers appreciation day through grubhub. Someone only gave my driver one box of six which was delivered to me. They refunded me the other 3 boxes but I had to still pay the delivery fee for our plan to fail...

Customers may purchase cookies for takeout, delivery, and catering.I went inside the restaurant to buy several different flavors of classic cookies. I did not see an employee, so I said hello, and an employee soon came out. He accurately rang up my purchase and treated me very nicely. At home, my husband and I ate the cookies. We agreed that these cookies were fresh and tasted pretty good.

I ordered cookies from Insomnia via DoorDash (Insomnia DELIVERS their OWN cookies, according to DoorDash, so it's the owners). 91+ minutes late, I'm a patient person. However, when I text the "Driver" I receive "Sorry, I had to go look at a roof" as a response. Are these people sane?
