A little bakery gem in Pittsburgh! We had the plum kifla, pinwheels, cheese pocket and vita banitsa. They're so soft and have the perfect amount of filling. 10/10 will come again!

Owner is from Bulgaria and makes Bulgaria pastries, and I love them. This was amazing, easily one of the best bakeries I've tried in Pittsburgh and needs more recognition. Perfect level of sweetness with nice combination of flavors. Would easily recommend. Really good savory pastries as well.

I must admit, I was completely clueless about halva before trying Jaks Bakery's version. My initial question, "Is it just bread?" was met with a friendly smile and a resounding "No!" I was blown away by the flavor. The halva was a delightful blend of sweet, with subtle hints of orange and lemon. But the real surprise was inside: a delicious sesame type fudge! I'm so glad I stumbled upon Jaks Bakery at the Sewickley farmers market. Plus they're only 15 minutes away from me in Bloomfield, I can't wait to try everything they offer! Thank you for bringing your Bulgarian recipes to Pittsburgh, we're lucky to have you!!

Pastry is hot and warm which makes it taste good; however, the service is not as what all reviews stated, it’s close to no service because it’s a take away, they pack what you need and here you go, bye. Having said that, I do recommend their pastry although there weren’t many variety available when I visited around 10.30am on Wednesday.

As a person who usually dislikes pastries, this place blew me away!!! Like insanely good! The spinach-feta banitsa was my favorite thing on the menu, but i even tried a vegan apple pecan banitsa and it was also incredible! Will totally be back.

The Tuesday/Wednesday lunch special is great! This week I got a fresh beet/carrot salad and dreamy feta pie to enjoy. They have many options for vegetarians and vegans, sweet and savory. We love having this friendly, delicious bakery in our neighborhood.
