THERE ARE ONLY A FEW PLACES THAT CAN BE AS GOOD AS THE JEROME BETTIS GRILLE, I THINK NIAGARA FALLS, THE EIFFEL TOWER, BUT JEROME IS DEFINITELY UP THERE.Best place to eat your food, deadass. I had such a great time feasting with my bros at the JBG.

So I went here back in 2012. I never did a review and feel I should do one. My older sister and I came to Pittsburgh from Richmond Virginia and went on a tour of Heinz field. While we were in Pittsburgh it was only fitting to go to my all time favorite football player's restaurant Grille 36. It was by far one of the best choices of my life. The food and service there was phenomenal. Our server was phenomenal, he was kind and courteous and most of all patient. We asked questions about a lot of the menu items. If he could have, I believe he would have sat with us at the table and told us about every menu item. Now on to the food. I'm a veteran and I have eaten in 30 different states and 5 different countries, and I have to say that the food and service I received at Grille 36 was in my opinion the best. After our meal our server took me to Jerome Bettis'lounge and I was in awe. He also informed me that I had him by a week. He said that Jerome was in there with his mom and aunt the week prior. He also told me how wonderful of a person Jerome Bettis was to work for and how much he cares about his staff and guests. I am going to be going to Pittsburgh again the weekend of July 30 2021 and hope to repeat this experience. And hopefully get the honor of meeting Jerome Bettis.

I came here just before COVID started. The food was really good but the service, oh my, the service was awful. Waiter was very forgetful and when we asked for our checks it took him over a half hour to get them to us. I gave him an earful. It was late in the night and we were the only table on the restaurant side still there. Hopefully they let him go.

Love the food, staff and atmosphere. The carrot cake is a must!! The pieces are huge so plan to share.

The Bettis 36 grill is well worn due to all ther people coming and going during the football season. The rugs are worn and some of the chairs upholstery is torn/ripped. We went there for dinner and not the ambiance. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the salmon. Both entrees were very good and portions were very adequate. We had side salads as well and they were also good. My one complaint would be the table. It was sticky. We were the only ones in that section of the restaurant. The waiter Michael was very responsive and courteous.
