Jimmy John’s has usually been a great place to eat, but after my last experience stopping at the Oakland store on Oakland Ave Pittsburgh I will mot be any longer. I ordered a ham and cheese and I expected to be prepared in front of me. It was not apparently they have premade sandwiches already sitting there and thats what I got. I did not want to make a scene so I paid for it and tossed it in the garbage. Hey Jimmy John’s since when are employees permitted to make pre maid sandwiches??

Food is always good, I just wish they'd fix their menu so it would allow me to order fountain drinks on the app. Also, seems like the AC hasn't worked in months, or maybe it's just on the weekends when I always go. Last 3 or 4 times there has been no air and it was so warm I was dripping sweat the whole time I was in there (was in the 90s outside that day). Today it was so warm my cookie was floppy.

The food is consistently delicious. And the staff is always so careful in preparing our order due to one family member having a severe dairy allergy. We trust them with our food order. We love going to Jimmy Johns.

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST. I know, I know, this is a chain - but this is the best place for lunch in Oakland, hands down. The staff is nice and the food is great. I go to Pitt and have eaten literally everywhere and this place is my number 1. Never change Jimmy John's of Oakland.

I've been meaning to write a review for the Jimmy John's in Oakland for a while now. This location is really great. The staff, including the manager, always go above annd beyond and they genuinely care. They've gone out of their way for us on a couple of occasions, and it's nice to see that level of care.
The food itself is consistently great. The ingredients are always fresh—you can tell they take pride in what they're serving. The bread is fresh and everything tastes delicious. My family has a lot of different preferences, and it can be hard to find a place where everyone is happy. But at this Jimmy John's, we can all find a sandwich we love, which makes it a really easy choice for us.
If you're in the area and looking for a quick, fresh sandwich, you should definitely give this place a try.

the lightskin youngman with glasses who my order and made my sandwich was nice and efficient but the loud big girl ruined my experience. from the moment i stepped in she was screaming on the phone and I'm a soft spoken person so it made it hard to be heard and to hear. i wanted to dine in to get away from the heat but couldn't.

I come to this location MULTIPLE times a week. Sometimes it is my only escape from the stress of the day and it is the HIGHLIGHT of my day. This team is always HUSTLING. Sometimes the universe isn’t working in their favor (A/C issues, RUDE customers, etc.) Despite these challenges, the staff is always friendly, personable and working hard. In a college town where the shop is always busy, you don’t always get that. People are LUCKY this shop is the way it is and should be less rude (hint: being kind costs $0 and no one appreciates you acting entitled customers) More businesses need to not sweat the small stuff and keep vibing along running business as usual. HIGHLY recommend this location if you wanna see friendly people working hard!

Usually I love Jimmy John's, however this location fails to meet expectations. Usually the orders are incorrect, and dont even try to get delivery because you won't get any updates and the order is guarenteed to be wrong. Staff is usually polite, but service and food quality is usually not great.

The A/C is broke so the workers are sweating to death in that sweat box. They did not inform me the ice machine was down until after I brought 2 combos with fountain drinks. Both of which where flat. And last but not least the sandwiches and potatoe salad where terrible. I believe in quality over quantity meaning too much meat to actually taste how good of a sandwich it could have been and the potatoe salad was warm at best no chill at all.
