Joseph Tambellini Restaurant

Joseph Tambellinis is a wonderful place to celebrate. The food is wonderful. They have a great menu. The hand made ravioli was delicious. They have white linen table cloths and napkins so so it is very impressive.

The service and the food were excellent. My husband got the filet and I got the Seafood Melissa - everything was delicious.

I took my now-girlfriend here for a dinner date night and we had a wonderful time! The food was phenomenal! The service was excellent and the ambiance was perfect for a date night. 10/10 recommend!

We love Tambellini's! I enjoyed my favorite entree, Veal Marsala that is always tender and flavorful. My husband enjoyed Chef Joe's special entree, Grouper that was delicious. The Daily Salad is large and so fresh with cranberries, sunflower seeds, garbanzo beans. We always love talking with Missy who is such a gracious host and Victoria who mixes amazing drinks at the bar. This is one of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh!

We had dinner at Joseph Tamellini's for the first time this evening. We were rather unimpressed with the food. While the portions were large, the food was lacking in flavor across the board for all the dishes we tried. The food is average Italian-American cuisine, but the prices are completely outlandish! Our meal came out to approximately $100 per person (without even ordering a bottle of wine, we only had a glass each). Really not worth it. Save yourself the trip, there are far better Italian restaurants in Pittsburgh.

We were seated upstairs, we were the only table seated up there, so it felt very private. Our server was excellent. We had several dishes..the veal chop, pork chop, veal parm, chicken marsala, salmon and fettuccini alfredo. VERY good (the chicken and fettuccini I felt, were very overpriced). Desserts (tiramisu, lava cake, cheesecake, butterscotch poundcake) we had were average. This was the second visit for me and the first visit for the rest of the party. We will definitely be back.

Found Joseph Tambellini by accident, everything was excellent. This is the best Italian food I've had in Pittsburgh and it wasn't even close. Our family will be regulars from now on. Would give more stars if possible.

The meal (eggplant parmigiana, parmesan encrusted flounder) were delicious. Slightly disappointed that they don't have a house made pasta on the menu but they make up for it with the rest of the food. Portions are generous. The prices mean that one would only visit it on the occasion. The servers were knowledgeable though a bit rushed off their feet. Service generally was very unobtrusive and pleasant.

Joseph Tambellini never disappoints. Everything on the menu is outstanding. Some restaurants have 1 or 2 really good things and the rest is average, not here! No matter what you get it has been prepared with passion and great attention to detail. In my humble opinion, the best in the burger! Mangia!

Food as always was great. Meatball app and Alfredo and filet for our dinners. Serve was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

Consistently excellent - food and service. And because of that, I highly recommend Tambellini's for any occasion. The wait staff is attentive but not hovering. The bartender knows how to make the perfect martini and old fashion. We have been enjoying Tambelljni's, in one location or the other, for over 40 years and have never been disappointed or surprised.

We can always count on J. Tambellini's to deliver delicious traditional food in a warm atmosphere. It was unfortunate that an older woman at a table nearby took a phone call and chatted on and on without any concern for the other diners. But that's not the fault of the Restaurant. The waitstaff is lovely and well trained. Expensive but great quality.
