I've ordered takeout from Katana a handful of times, and my experience has always been a good one. The food is fresh, hot, and very tasty. The Crispy Roll is my favorite sushi item. Try adding asparagus to it, and thank me later :) The hibachi is very flavorful, and portions are good. Some highlights were the chicken and steak hibachi, and the chicken katsu. If you try it you won't be disappointed!

The worst Chinese food ever. Grisly fatty meat no flavor. HORRIBLE.

Unremarkable but eatable foods, which are NOT AUTHENTIC to the cuisines it claims to serve. They are dismal imitations of the otherwise great cuisines of Asia.Pittsburgh has a number of very authentic Chinese, Japanese and Thai restaurants.—- This one IS NOT AND CANNOT BE considered among them.Their menu:- Very long list of chinese-style foods. General Tso and egg rolls are NOT Chinese. This is is listing is typical to chinese-style eateries that pervades America.- Calling something Hibachi does NOT make it Japanese. Their miso soup is very bland and hardly warm.- There’s some so called Thai foods, which according to friends who’ve been here, are sugary.***The draw to this place seems to be the “all you can eat” or buffet for raw fish. While it’s an affordable $30.00 fare, THESE ARE NOT SUSHI according to the Japanese standards.1. Cheese is not/has never been an ingredient in real Japanese cuisine???. Adding cheese to raw fish is a culinary sin.2. Their “crab” sushi is the fake surimi???. A crab comes from the sea or river or lake. Surimi is factory concoction.Real sushi uses only fish or shellfish. None of those pre-processed stuff!!!3. Please stop calling “rolls” sushi. ROLLS ARE NOT SUSHI.- Real sushi is a clean and simple preparation of slices (about 1/3 to 1/2 inch) of very fresh fish.Sushi rice is a Japanese strain of rice. It is long grain, soft, slightly fragrant, moist and used sparingly.-Here the fish slices are very very thin???. Their rice is poor quality: very dry, looks like the ordinary short grain rice, and too much of it.- Their rolls are slabs of rice with very very thin slices of fish. The worst is they add sauces, which destroys the flavor of fish!!!???Service is good, the waitress is quite attentive ???.The eatery itself is spacious and looks very tidy.THERE ARE REAL AND BETTER SUSHI/SASHIMI EATERIES IN PITTSBURGH.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian listings on menu.Dietary restrictions: Some vegetarian selectionsParking: It’s on a busy street; paid street parking.Kid-friendliness: Children welcomed.Wheelchair accessibility: Doorway and tables accommodate wheelchair.

Had this place for my work lunch. Had the chicken tempura roll and cucumber avocado. They looked great! Not shortly after I got an extreme case of food poisoning. I had friends say the same. For that reason I will no longer purchase from this restaurant.

I *love* the all you can eat deal on week nights. You should definitely make a reservation ahead of time if you have a large group, one time when I went they were really understaffed. However the food is great, tons of options, and the staff is all really nice and hard working. I'll be back for sure.

we had the all you can eat sushi, it was fabulous. Everything was so fresh and delicious. It was almost $30 a person which is a little high but the choices were great. Our server was so accommodating and nice. Definitely will be back again soon when we're craving sushi.

A great menu AND all you can eat experience. Something for everyone. This place is criminally underratedComparison to "other ayce" sushi restaurant :-more sake-more fish per dish-better garnishment-less wait-a traditional menu for people who don't want all you can eatDietary restrictions: Caffeine free sodas

I had ordered today for delivery with Door dash. It appears that Katanas own Staff are driving for Doordash but for some odd reason, They couldn't locate the address I was at,which is a very well established Landmark and only a mile away! I was on the phone on an off with them for almost an hour, There was somewhat of a language barrier to which I assumed was the problem. They seemed to assume I gave them the wrong information and for a moment we were so frustrated with each other and getting loud, Lol! I just ended up telling them I'd drive to the Restaurant and pick the food up myself. I needed to get back to work and didn't have anymore time to be on the phone. The fellow that gave me my order was pleasant and said there was something wrong with Doordash mapping. I don't know what was going on but will say that the food is very good and the restaurant seemed clean. I just wouldn't order delivery through Door dash with them anymore. I still got charged for the Drivers delivery tip and just to pick up my own food but not gonna sweat it, They'll probably need that extra gas money if they can't get their delivery app under control. It would be best to pickup Your food. ??

I'm surprised this place isn't more highly rated. I've eaten here three times and it's always been very pleasant. Their sushi is absolutely top tier.
