I had an amazing meal here. The chicken noodle soup was some of the best I ever had, and the homemade bread is out of this world!!

A very rude business. I asked the woman on the phone when my food would be ready, and she said she didn’t know. I asked again, and she yelled, “maybe 10 minutes.” I had already been waiting for 30 minutes, and since I didn’t want to wait any longer, I canceled the order. Then the same woman called me back and threatened me. This place is a complete disgrace and shows hostile, aggressive behavior.

I wish I took photos but was too busy eating. Yum. If you enjoy eastern European food you're in for a treat.
We ordered for 3:
Pitcher compote
Carrot salad my fav!
Bread (served hot from oven) with raspberry jam (tasted homemade).
A bowl of cold soup - this is unusual but refreshing, flavors of yogurt, dill, cucumber with some potato and meat.
Plaf - rice with cooked veg and chicken. This was my teen's favorite.
Dumplings

Had a great meal before a show at Bottlerocket. Svetlana was lovely and helped me select dishes that would work with my allergy. Everything was delicious, but the cucumber salad was excellent!

My server was Lana, She was very attentive and hospitable. Next time I go I will be asking for her. I most definitely recommend this to anyone new to the Pittsburgh area and wants authentic halal food.

Went in without knowing anything about this restaurant but what an awesome surprse. The food was delicious and unique flavor. We had the beef boat, plov, chuchvara and everything was fresh, flavorful and perrfectly cooked. We ended with honey cake that was divine. Our waitress Lana was great. Seh was attentive helpful, warm and very friendly.I would definitely recommend everyone try this gem of a restaurant out!

Kavsar is a hidden gem in Pittsburgh! The food tastes like a true home-cooked meal—warm, fresh, and full of love. I had the vegetarian lagman, and the handmade noodles with veggies were incredible—comforting and flavorful. The fresh bread was perfect too. Our server, Svetlana from Kazakhstan, made the experience even more authentic and unforgettable with her kindness and knowledge. This place is pure hospitality and heart—highly recommend!

I came here with my family for dinner and I had a great time! Our server, Lana, and she made us feel welcomed and offered a lot of insight on the menu and what we should be ordering, and she was spot on. We started off with the beef boat, a mix of golden brown pastry with savory ground beef and cheese in the center. It was deliciously savory with a hint of spice from the beef, and the creaminess of the cheese, all working together to create a perfect appetizer. For my entree I ordered the chuchvara; ground beef dumplings served with sour cream. They were excellent. The dough was soft and chewy, while the beef was juicy and chewing, coming together to create some of the best dumplings I've ever had. I felt very welcomed by Lana, who was very enthusiastic in sharing her culture with us. For dessert I had the honey cake with tea. The honey cake was amazing, combining soft moist cake layers with honey flavor, while not being too sweet. It was incredibly rich and paired well with the fruit tea. Overall I would give this restaurant five stars and I can't wait to go back and eat there again!

First of all the food was undercooked and the mashed potatoes was not home made. Secondly the prices were way out of hand 20 dollars for one plate of food. Very disappointed, I was hoping for something better.
