Well labeled vegan options - a handful of things to choose from. Great for dining with veg and omni folks alike. The Carrot and Squash Paella was excellent - smoky, sweet, flavorful, ample portions. I would definitely go back and try other options.
We've been to Kaya several times for both lunch and dinner and the service, menu offerings and ambiance are always great. Our latest trip there for dinner was on par with our other visits, however, our server this time was well above par! His suggestions and table-side demeanor were a welcome addition to our evening. Our food choices, while delicious, were a bit spicer (hot) than expected, but that did not stop us from cleaning our plates. Rest assured we'll be back to Kaya again!
Kaya is a great place to go for food and drinks. Their ingredients are always something unusual and yummy.
Brunch was amazing, and our waiter was very attentive and helpful!

We all loved our food - black bean Kaya burger, Sunday Chicken Sandwich (brunch menu), Kaya chips, butternut squash soup and (drumroll please) the key lime tart for dessert. I was hoping the key lime tart would be like the ones I've had in south FL and the Caribbean and it did not disappoint. All super tasty food. Our server was exceptionally kind, knew the menu well and gave us some tips and even checked for us to confirm that parking was free on Sunday in front of the restaurant. It was a little slow given the crowd but other than that it was top notch. Love this place and it's not-overwhelming-but-something-for-everyone menu with an island twist.
The atmosphere is amazing. The decor is beautiful and I was feeling the music selection.
It was date night and Kaya set the mood off lovely with the jerk chicken wings (extra crispy) with creamy sauce on the side.
Random; I had a double shot of Baileys on ice ๐ง and Bae had a peach ๐ margarita ๐๐ฅ and she also fired on those wings with me
I had the jerk chicken tacos ๐ฎ and Bae had that Maui Maui tacos ๐ฎ 10/10
We will definitely be back SOON!!!!

Loved it. Definitely will be back again and again. Jerk wings extra crispy with that sauce.
Overpriced, mediocre tofu and vegetables served by pretentious, underdressed women to caucasians in suits. Failed attempt at fusion.Twangy country music, watered down booze.

Sasha our waitress made it an fantastic evening out. Thank u for your honestly and menu suggestions
Nothing about this place gives Caribbean restaurant , the vibes are off and the only black couple in the establishment that day was seated in the back in the corner behind a wall, even though there were other seats available. I decided to just eat my food and not complain because I had a long day on the road and didnโt want to be labeled as difficult

A creative and enticing menu and an attractive comfortable dining experience. We had a very pleasant and attentive waitress who made good suggestions and obviously cared about our experience. Our meals, jambalaya and salmon, we're superb

This is a neighborhood favorite. The service and food are always wonderful and this visit was no different. We live all the Big Burrito Group restaurants.
Ive been to Kaya a few times now, usually when Im craving Caribbean flavors in the Strip District, and it never disappoints on the food front. Last visit, I started with the conch fritters which were crispy outside and tender inside with that perfect spicy remoulade dipping sauce that packs a subtle heat without overwhelming. For the main, I went with the oxtail stew simmered in rich gravy with plantains on the side, and it reminded me of family trips to Jamaica years ago the portions are hearty and the meat falls right off the bone. The atmosphere is vibrant with reggaetunes playing softly and colorful decor that makes you feel like youre on vacation,
especially if you grab a table outside when the weathers nice, though parking can be tricky on weekends with all the market crowds nearby. Service has always been friendly; our
waiter suggested a rum punch that paired great with the meal and checked in just enough without hovering. They have vegetarian options too like the curry veggies that my partner enjoyed, and the menu rotates seasonally with fresh ingredients which keeps things interesting. One minor gripe is that it gets loud when full, but thats part of the lively vibe I guess. Prices are mid-range, worth it for the quality and uniqueness compared to standard
Pittsburgh fare.
