Disappointing.
Definitely not traditional baguette, more pain courant, commercial style white cottony-like texture, not much flavor, good for what they sell it for - a sandwich bun. (don’t waste your good cheese on it)
Pain au chocolate tasted OK, but was badly baked.
Abricotine was good.
One star for the chocolate they used and one for the abricotine.
I love this place. One of the best French bakeries I've been to in the US, in terms of their breads and pastry. Definitely the best I've been to in Pittsburgh. I have to stop at this place every time I'm in the city.. True Hidden gem
Try the chocolate croissant! It is to die. Yum and double yum
We ordered a cake for 50 for my parents 50th wedding anniversary and first off- it was beautiful, and second-everyone couldn't stop raving about how absolutely delicious it was! It was absolutely perfect and the online ordering was incredibly simple. We are lucky to have this shop in the neighborhood
Excellent! Have tried several different pastries and all were delicious. Highly recommend the pistachio eclair!
Beautiful pastries that taste even better than they look. I am gluten-free, but ate some anyway,. It was a stupid thing to do, but is you'd been there you'd understand.
Lol. I paid the price for nearly a week. I'd best stay away. Not sure I wouldn't do it again
Service was exceptionally warm and friendly.
Hands down the BEST lemon tart I’ve ever had!!! So good, I can back a day later for more.
Fresh and delicious!
I think about going back. So good.
Nothing beats French pastry, and La Gourmandine delivers every single time. I’ve tried everything they make—the baguettes, croissants, amandes, cakes, quiches, sandwiches—and every bite is amazing. Their products are also very reasonably priced compared to other French bakeries in the city, which makes indulging here even sweeter.
They’ve got multiple locations, but Hazelwood is my hands-down favorite. The Mount Lebanon shop is great too, but Lawrenceville… let’s just say the customer service there can be hit-or-miss. Most of the staff across locations are friendly and helpful, though a few encounters have been borderline rude.
Still, the quality at Hazelwood keeps me coming back. If you want great French baking without boarding a plane, this is the spot.

So yummy! Everything was amazing! We took the food home and we got a few things to try, nothing disappointed!
Favorite of the 3 locations by far!
Best Macarons EVER!!! Love this location!!
THE best bakery! Their sandwiches for lunch are fresh and delicious, made on homemade bread. The Olive and Tomato Fougasse is my favorite!
Their homemade white bread is also a favorite of mine.
Poor service, I told the salesperson I was purchasing 12 items, she started to put them in a bag, I had to ask for a box, then she started putting them in a small box and I had to ask for a larger one to fit 12 items. She got my order wrong, then cashier was going to charge me for a sandwich which I hadn’t ordered. I told the cashier I never had poor service before. I ask to talk to the manager and she said she was the manager. Then she said she really didn’t want to hear my complaints . I then didn’t leave a tip and left. I always ordered at least $40 to $50 but not sure if I will be going back
