This is by far the most unprofessional business I have ever encountered in 43 yrs of life on this earth. First and foremost the coffee is terrible so there is that. I can live with that. What I can't live with is the Manger (Ron K) being completely unprofessional and downright creepy with my gf. It really made her feel uncomfortable. I was flabbergasted by the fact that this so called manager acted in such an inappropriate matter. I wasn't aware he was the manager until after the visit. It just so happened that my neighbor had a similar experience with this man. She told be his name was Ron. In any event I normally wouldn't take the time to bash a crappy coffe shop, but I felt compelled to warn other customers to steal clear of this establishment.

It was closed when I stopped by. But I love the other La Prima locations in the city.

La Prima is my favorite on campus coffee. Personally, I recommend the Gates location over Wean Prima--it tends to be less busy and you can get paninis as well as the pastries and boxed meals.

This is for the La Prima store at Smallman street near the convention center. They have great coffee choices. Service is quick. There are also some pre made breakfast items in a cooler. You bring them to the counter and they will heat them up for you. It's an excellent and inexpensive espresso bar and breakfast counter. Highly recommneded.

Lovely little coffee shop with the nicest staff you ever want to meet at 6 in the morning on no sleep and while hunting for a good cup of Joe. The space is beautiful, impeccably clean, located conveniently on the corner of Smallman and 11th in downtown Pittsburgh- just across from the David Lawrence convention center with pay parking across the street. There are a couple of street parking spots but tbh I wouldn’t rely on that if I were in a hurry. I’m usually a Starbucks fan and I am particular and with a million specifics when I ask for a coffee but they make an amazing cup no matter what I throw at them and are surprisingly quick about it. They also sell their own brands in the store and have quite a few food options. Thought it worth highlighting them because the experience was that good.

They’ve opened a new location at the Gates Center! Best coffee and pastries on campus ?

Being Italian, I love it when I find truly authentic Italian spots…you know that’s true when the folks at the next table are chatting in Italian. Stick to espresso or a cappuccino for the most authentic version. Both are amazing, not bitter. Next door you can find focaccia and pastries…delicious! Only a few tables indoor that you stand at. Outside there was one table. This is our go to coffee spot in PGH.

The title says it all. I ducked in here on a frigid late afternoon to get a warm cup, and chose an Americano. The drink was not good at all, and the behind-the-counter service was also sub-par. Other places in the area to check out, won't return.

Their beautifully roasted coffee beans yield a fruity/flavorful coffee drink that is nicely balanced and creamy. We love their coffee.

I booked La Prima to set up a booth at my Sister in Laws wedding as many of the attendants were non drinkers. It was the biggest hit! Everyone loved it, the coffee is the best in Pittsburgh, and the staff was extremely nice and professional.
