Great spot! Best bbq in Pittsburgh by far. Super nice staff, great outdoor space

An awesome place in the East End. It's located in a somewhat sketchy area and parking is a little tight but don't let that detract you! Walking in you'll notice they have a very nice outdoor space to utilize in the warmer months. They are located within East End Brewery which is a great spot in and of itself. The staff working at Larder that night was very friendly. You order at a counter and they bring everything to the table, service was pretty quick. We tried a little bit of everything, the wings were probably my favorite (specifically the Harissa ones). My sandwich was very good too. Prices are very reasonable. We were told the menu changes at times as well. Would absolutely recommend checking this out.

I've gotten Larder to go twice now and I have mixed reviews. I wish I could give them a 3.5. As a heads up, you order at their counter, they give you a number, then will bring your food out to you. Most recently we ordered the bbq pulled pork, sausage & peppers, chicken tenders and cauliflower. All of the meats are really good and come with french fries. The pork is not very saucy but I like it that way. The cauliflower was not good at all and for the price it seemed like $1 per piece of cauliflower. I definitely won't be ordering that again. I had friends order the beets and wings and both said those were good. I just feel like Larder's food is really pricey for a Pittsburgh brewery. I'm sure I will be eating there again- will try something different next time. Plenty of seats inside and outside of East End Brewery. Parking is a bit of a pain.

We had great buffalo wings, fries, and beer. The staff was super friendly. There is limited parking, but we will definitely be returning.

The coffee rubbed smoked wings were very tasty. They were well done and still juicy.

East End Brewery has been a staple of the Pittsburgh craft beer scene for as long as there's basically been a scene, and it's nice to see them paired up with the menu of a top local chef doing something very different, and affordable.

Brisket sandwich and sausage & peppers were great. Slight smoke on the sausage and really savory brisket. Nice space, a little off the beaten path

Friendly staff, great beer, and surprisingly really good food. They have something going where they create one-off batches of beer dedicated to a Pittsburgh neighborhood. Make sure to sample those because once they're gone that's it.

MY GOODNESS!!! I have been a customer of East End Brewing since its inception. A brewery of near perfection. Well, they've hit the perfection notch by adding Larder to the mix. Justin and team have done it again. The food is beyond mind-blowing delicious. Smoked pickled beets and butterbean toast are so yummy and the right size to share with another person. Also love the brisket sandwich and fries---also shareable. Had an event here for a non-profit and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us with seating, etc. Very friendly and they all seem to love their jobs. Do yourself a favor, eat here and drink at East End.

Excellent food options, outstanding beers. Wonderful for a meal with friends or just a quick bite.

Great, reasonably priced food here from Justin Severino, one of the top chefs in Pittsburgh. The wings in particular are to die for.

Never disappointed. The menu is fresh and imaginative, the people are friendly and helpful, the food is delicious. Our favorite items are the coffee rubbed wings and the poutine, no matter the smoked meat they put on top.

Food was excellent. Meat portions could have been more generous for price but among the best in Pittsburgh in terms of flavor. Great beer courtesy of East End Brewing to accompany. Pleasant minimalist environment. Recommend.

I'm updating my thoughts on the basis of a return trip and the selection of different items from the menu. We returned to Larder over thanksgiving weekend, having grown sick of turkey. We chose our beers first and then reviewed the menu. These transactions take place at two different counters. I ordered the Butter Bean Bread and the roasted cauliflower. Both were excellent, and either could have served as a full meal for me, though admittedly I am a light eater, especially with a filling beer. My husband ordered the smoked meatball hoagie and was similarly pleased. Re beer - well East End has a great selection, and helpful staff. Definitely glad we chose to return, and Larder will join our list of regular places for a casual meal. (Initial review) Maybe this is unfair because they just opened. We like East End and were excited to try Larder, both because it makes the brewery more of a destination than a stop, and also because Justin Severino is a great chef. I expect some hiccups in the first few days. My husband ordered a Gem Salad and loved it, but at $10 seemed a little pricey for the size and contents of the bowl. I ordered the mussels steamed in Monkey Boy (which I was also drinking) and was disappointed. The dish comes with fries, but the fries were floating along in the bowl of mussels. In other words, soggy. This can be easily fixed by sending the fries in a separate bowl. Or maybe scrap this dish in favor of something more easily assembled. After all, the fries didn't appear to be frites soaked in duck fa offered by Point Brugge, etc (but who can tell when they are part of a "soup"?). I expect better execution from Larder in the future, and I'm sure that an update of this review will reflect that. The space is nice - definitely and upgrade, and buzzing with people. Worth trying again.

Excellent gastropub tucked away behind Trader Joe's in East Liberty. Kudos to Justin Severino for the eatery operation in this space! Delicious, creative informal menu with of course some great meats including 3 types of wings. Always loved the beers from East End Brewery too. Must try it all! Doing a Sunday brunch 12-5 now.
