We must have hit this place on a bad night. I'm looking at the pictures of the charcuterie boards from other reviews, and that is NOT what we received, not even close. For $26 we got 1 sclice of toast (cut in 3 pieces), 3 slices of cheese, and a few olives. It would have been laughable if I wasn't so angry at having been scammed on the price. The drink was beautifully presented and the outdoor area was nice, though a little small. I wouldn't go out of my way to hit this bar, but if you're already staying in the hotel it's a nice stop before heading out for the night.

Excellent service
Doesn’t open close to the hours listed was told they were closed on both ends in a very condescending manor. For a hotel bar the limited hours are absurd to begin with but to not sell to customers within those listed hours is insane.
Very quiet despite trains going by on a regular basis. Windows are very well. Soundproofed and there is a brown noise system that you can adjust in the room. Never heard a single train go by yet. There were multiple all night. Hotel was virtually empty for Memorial Day Monday got to meet manager bartender and chef. Had a great dessert cookie ?. Solid bar with top shelf choices. Inviting lobby area with multiple seating sections for privacy. Surprise, there was no peloton bike in the gym, I would have hope for better gym amenities such as a sauna. Rooms are very well appointed. Limited cable television selection but you can attach your Netflix or other paid services. Rooms for nicely accommodated. Spotlessly clean with the exception of a sink that did not drain well. Shower, featured an adjustable head and a rainfall shower. As to parking, not sure why people are whining so much. It's $5 to part directly across the street and there's a loading zone at the hotel for dropping off and picking up your bags. Sky lobby is a nice touch with secure key access to guest floors which have a water and ice dispenser. Location is adjacent to convention center and John Kerry Smithsonian annex.
This hotel is new and conveniently located. It is clean with l wooden floors and limited fabrics; therefore, there are few allergens. The hotel was just a couple of blocks away from my conference and next door to an amazing restaurant. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Parking was convenient and low priced.
Pros: check-in was very efficient and gentleman checking us in was personable. room was clean and bed was comfortable, loved the shower very convenient to the conference center and restaurants within walking distance parking was across the street but really not that far Cons: the biggest Con for us happened because we were on the alley side. We didn’t really require a “view”, but we were awakened by the dumpsters in the alley being emptied in the middle of the night. This only happened the one night. and, yes, there is a train close by
This was the first time for a visit to this hotel. It's a Marriott Brand. The rooms were very modern, which means kind of sparsely furnished. But they were clean, comfortable and quiet. Cleaning is only every other day, which seems to be the norm these days. They offer breakfast for $15, but it was just ok. We ate there the first day and then went to other places for the rest o the trip. The road signs say it's in the Strip District, but it's several blocks to the heart of it. Its short walk to Market Square, a subway stop, the Warhol Museum and other sights. I would stay there again. The only real problem is parking. There is a lot across the street, but it's for the convention center. Parking was $15 because there was an event at the Convention Center, but there was no in and out. We ended up parking around the corner in a garage which was $5 per day on the weekends, also with no in and out, but it was lot cheaper. Uber and Lyft rides were easy to get. Pittsburgh streets are narrow and hard to navigate if you're not a local. Using ride share is better way to get around.
I stay here often as it’s close to our office. Convenient hotel to the Strip District. Clean, updated rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Nice bar, but wish they had more food offerings. Secure property. It is unfortunately a noisy hotel with the cars and trains. But they do have white noise boxes in the rooms which is helpful.
Super convenient spot for any guest staying at the AC Hotel since this bar is located in the lobby on the seventh floor. The bartender is very friendly and helpful. It’s a full bar with your typical selection of drinks. Limited bar menu is available between 5pm and 10pm.Large bar area can sit close to 20 around the bar. Addition seating is available on the rooftop patio overlooking the river and the district across the river. They don’t have happy hour but prices are very comparable to other bar restaurants in the area.

This was our first AC property. Looked like a nice option near the convention center but the service was awful and amenities poor. No valet parking and no place to unload. Ice and water on our floor empty entire weekend. Bathroom in 7th floor lobby clogged. It looks like AC brought European service which you never want. Front desk was surly and unavailable, bartender was slow and made poor drinks despite few patrons. At breakfast, they ran out of croissants, coffee, creamer, and bread and there was only one poor staff person trying to clean and refill and do everything. Basically, a Courtyard with nicer finishes but worse service and amenities.
Easy check-in, clean and modern. Grabbed a cocktail in the lounge with great views of downtown Pittsburgh. Very clean, great functional bathroom. Rainshower tall enough for my 6' 4" son! Burke, Guest Service, was fabulous at breakfast. Helpful, friendly, offered tips about the city and game. Highly recommend!
Great rooftop bar. Hidden Jem in Pitt.
This is a relatively new Marriott in downtown Pittsburgh. The location is great and the aesthetic is as to be expected for an AC. Convenient to most necessities by foot including coffee, dining, and various waterfront and general amenities. Parking is available across the street, however it was unclear at check in whether there was underground parking so that’s what I aimed for first. As such, there was a bit of a traffic jam at the hotel entrance and no staff there to manage it. Cars behind cars blocking in the cars that got there first. A reception for the hotel on the ground floor had a desk but no human. Took a trip to the lobby and waited untended for a good 15 minutes while one of the front desk staff was arranging furniture for what looked like a next day meeting (it was 9 pm). Despite repeatedly looking over while I waited, he actually didn’t come over until a fourth person got in line. He checked me in and let me know that parking was across the street. It was pretty dark and even with decent (not great) parking lot lighting - I will be honest - I was not comfortable alone. I got into the hotel and headed for my room. I always take a cursory look first. My first room was facing a brick building in an alley. There was a dirty rag of some sort on one nightstand table and spilled coffee on the other. I called to mention it and got a relatively curt response that if I wanted a new room I needed to come up. I was then waited on by a different desk attendant and she changed my room. My second room had a toilet that runs. I did get it to stop but it surprised me to be changing rooms due to hygiene and tinkering with toilets. I heard train noise at one point - but only once and it didn’t ultimately interfere with my sleep. Overall the rating is reflective of the experience as much as the environment. I expect quiet. I never expect hygiene issues. The hotel is generally very nice. They appeared to be skeleton crew and I’m sure that played a role in all of the above. I might stay there on a Saturday night if I really wanted to be in this location but I don’t see myself volunteering to stay on a business night again. Definitely don’t see myself hosting a meeting there for overnight guests unless or until I have a better outcome. Not sure yet about this one.
Awesome view of the city from a very different angle. You see the east side of the convention center and the train line looking over the river. Not a ton to eat up here off their menu, but still good food and nice drinks
