Here from western NY and booked this restaurant in advance. We were seated in the bar area at a cocktail table for dinner-main aisle with constant traffic and people waiting for take out orders. Expressed our disappointment and were casually told there's no place to move us. It appeared expected we would request to be relocated- as in, this is how Lucca seats regularly. While the food was indeed very good, we ordered appetizers and salads to suit the table size. This experience was less than we had hoped - a sad disappointment. When a dinner reservation is made, a dining sized table is expected.

It was a fantastic night out. The food was terrific, and the atmosphere was great for our friend who is hard of hearing and relies on a hearing aid. The service was good enough, though the server was a little snarky; he was busy, and we weren't too demanding.

Me and my friends came here for a nice dinner on Easter. We started with salads which were great, and the bread was fresh. The drinks and dessert were good, but the entree was just okay. I had ordered the seafood rigatoni and it was okay. The sauce was not what I was expecting, and I would probably recommend a tomato sauce for next time. While the portion was a decent size, I was expecting better for the price. Overall the ambiance was nice, but the service was a little slow; our waitress was extremely nice nonetheless. I am not sure I would visit again, just because I was expecting to have my socks knocked off for the price I paid.

The service and food were both mediocre. Waitstaff was seemed disinterested in our service and the food was bland without seasoning. We would not return.

Lovely restaurant. Great ambience. Our server was excellent, Aliyah L. We recommend seafood risotto, shrimp alfredo with a light alfredo sauce, abs baked rigatoni with sausage. The chicken piccata could have been juicier, and 1 was dry. They did sub tagliatelle noodles for linguini for me. Thanks. Both needed lots more sauce.

My wife and I enjoy Italian food and Lucca has excellent sauce and pasta. We had not been there is quite some time but will be back soon- the prices were reasonable and we really liked being able to order half a salad without paying a premium ( the prices were reasonable was exactly half the price of full portion). Looking forward to trying other items on the menu/ they all looked good!

I'm not from the area & it was a Sunday evening when I stopped. Our server must've been having a bad day - which I understand can happen. Our food order was put in correctly, though & it was amazing! Worth returning to!

They charged the wrong fee, adding gratuity when we refused to pay it for spoiled dinner. Very rude, kids are complaining about stomach aches. We left uneaten spaghetti, and vegetables, juice, ordered salmon with rice, were given salty salmon with pasta! Never apologized, asked twice not to make salty after calamari were too salty. please everyone read the reviews carefully! Really trash restaurant!!!

Update:
I think this place is dumping MSG or something similar on their food in excessive amounts. Starting about 20 minutes after I ate there, I had to pee. It has now been almost 24 hours and I have had to be excessively multiple times per hour through the night. I’m now googling to find out if I should go to the doctor or what…
**Restaurant owner and chef if you read this, whatever you were sprinkling on that food… chill out. **

I had high expectations for this place and left entirely disappointed. The reviews are stellar. I don’t know if they have a new cook or what… but my experience definitely didn’t live up to the reviews by any stretch.

First, we were the only ones there, ordered simple meals, and yet the service was unbelievably slow, from start to check.

Second, the food was terrible.

We ordered two appetizers and two entrées- bruschetta, truffle fries, red pepper gnocchi, and a spinach salad with the $14 addition of scallops. The presentation of the food all looked nice, but the taste was bad. And the temperature of everything was the same… room temperature. Hot food was not hot; cold food was not cold.

The bread for the bruschetta was stale, not crunchy and yet not soft. It was like 3 day old junky bread that was left in a partly open bag. It was also soggy in the middle…. The tomato and cucumber mixture that they put on it was marinated overlong and lacked flavor and freshness. That marinade liquid was spooned on the bread and the bread in the center was left wet and soggy. I would expect at the price that they would use a decent crusty bread.

The truffle fries were cold and very oily. I suspect that they use truffle oil to toss the fries after cooking. They are a thin cut fry, and if they were hot, crispy, and had less oil they could have been good. But as they were, I’m still burping truffle oil the next day…

The salad was terrible. I don’t know how you mess up a salad, but they did. The sparse walnut, cheese, and cranberry mixture, as well as the scallops had some kind of strange, skunky, overly salty, and yet savory substance in/on them. I don’t know if they use MSG or what, but it’s awful. The salad itself was just spinach with a light sprinkle of the topping. The measly sized 4 scallops ($3 a piece) were not cooked properly. They were gummy and filled all the way through with that strange salty-savory-skunky flavor. They were not fresh tasting at all. It was gag worthy. I ate it… but literally had to wash each bite down with water. I regret not having the guts to tell them that the food was bad.

The gnocchi was the better of the food items, but still not very good. The gnocchi was very dense, drowned in sauce, and the piece of chicken on top was just pitiful in size and flavor. The gnocchi also had the same strange tasting savory salt on it, but nowhere near as much as the salad, so it wasn’t overpowering.

The building itself is nice, but they really need to clean the floor and the grout on the glass wall.

All in all, it was a pricey lunch that left me queasy. I am too easily embarrassed to tell people to their face that their food is bad. Add that to there being so many stories of people who pretend food is bad to try to get a free meal… I just keep it to myself until I get home to write an honest review.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I heard a lot about this place and was dying to try. Wish I didn't. The restaurant wasn't busy 2 other tables were sat with food. Our server greeted us and asked us for our drink orders and then disappeared for 15 minutes (mind you we still didn't have our drinks or bread.) Another server came over and took our drink order and food order. While other tables that came in after us had drinks, bread, and ordered. Our original server came back out after a new server took over and said "Oh sorry I got busy with something else." She was very unprofessional from the start. We should've got up and left right then. We still wanted to give the food a shot. Our new server he was very kind and took over. The wedding soup was great. Our pasta dishes though were garbage for the price we paid. Shrimp wasn't even cooked and the spaghetti and meatballs was one of the worst i've ever had. The meatballs had char on them from being cooked too long. I couldn't even cut into them. If I could go back I wouldn't have wasted my time and money on this place and could make better at home! We wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. I will never be coming back!

Went here for NYE . Was overall , the single worst dining experience I’ve ever had in my entire life . Appetizers were awful and overcooked , manager came over and assessed how much was eaten when offering to remove from bill . Entrees came out , I got eggplant which was palatable but not good. Others in my party sent back their entrees because of a combination of a ridiculous amount of over salting and out of date scallops . Manager came back over and says “what is wrong this time” . Majority of our party told her not to bother remaking the food . We ultimately spent $300 & ordered a different place for takeout literally in the restaurant will never go back and will never recommend . Stay far far away.

Caeser salad, perfect. Loved the fresh bread. Seafood risotto was phenomenal, along with our server.

What a rip off. I'm home sick and order 2 wedding soups and they didnt even fill the half pint half way. Literally 3oz of soup. Shame on you Tony, and your kitchen and manager. If you don't have enough food 86 the item.

I would like to request everyone. No one should order online from this restaurant. It is very reckless. Very The staff working there are also very careless. They don't prepare or send food to the team.
