Everything was great except for the tables that rock back and forth. We asked to be moved to a different table for two after being seated but, unfortunately, the new one rocked too. We just made the best of it and tried to enjoy our meals.
Our waiter Ethan was awesome. Very personable and attentive. His suggestions for dinner were spot on. The tagliatelle was phenomenal and all of our entrees did not disappoint!!
Excellent food! Really nice staff, but they told us they are moving to a new location soon
First time at this establishment. Parking was difficult, but the restaurant itself was beautiful and the food was out of this world. Our waitress was attentive and friendly.
We sat outside which in hindsight might not have been the best idea. There was a significant amount of traffic and an alarming number of fire trucks which had to pass by while we were eating. The single server we saw seemed a bit overwhelmed even through there was not a lot of customers. While she brought plates for the appetizer we ordered, we ended up eating most of it with our fingers as we did not have silverware until we were almost finished with it. Sorry to hear 10/12 is the last day as CMU is booting you out. Good luck on the South Side and your name change.
Unfortunately, we would have to say we had a really, really poor experience at this restaurant. The service was definitely good and the waiter was attentive and friendly, but the food was absolutely terrible and the restaurant was dated. First was the bread, it tasted stale and it didn't really have any flavor to it. Next were our appetizers, the calamari and the meatballs. The meatballs weren't terrible, they were mainly bland. The garlic bread that came with them wasn't crisp at all and just had hunks of garlic. The calamari was abysmal. It was served on top of a pile of lemon aioli, was soggy, and was the chewiest version I ever had. We also got a Caesar salad that had finely chopped, slightly wilted lettuce with a dressing by that had strong fishy taste (I know some people enjoy the anchovy flavor but in this case it was overwhelming). Finally our main course came out. The pasta was subpar, it was al dente, but not in a good way, it just tastes like old, bland pasta from a box. The chicken parm was extremely thick and extremely dry. Again, the service was good, but the restaurant itself felt like it was in a space that hadn't been updated since 1986. I have to say it was extremely frustrating as it wasn't cheap and we had gone for a birthday dinner. We wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!
We sat outside which was very nice. The waiter was kind but the food took about an hour to get to us. The chicken Alfredo was overcooked and we all had to add salt to our food. They seemed to lack staff because dishes sat at empty tables the whole time we were.
Nice place to celebrate without breaking the bank! Everyone enjoyed their dinners (big portions), very welcoming staff and ambience.
Excellent staff and service. The menu is solid. Not too big. Great arancini in sauce! Had a Caesars salad with a very generous portion of salmon. The wait staff was attentive. Made good decaf coffee. Finished off with a specialty cannoli with hazelnut. An enjoyable experience.
Very nice atmosphere. Food was good . Asked if we could have a spice to put in the olive oil & was told we don't serve that side table. I've never gone to an Italian restaurant before & asked for something like oregano to add to olive oil for dipping bread & couldn't get it.

We used the Groupon. What a great value for wonderful food, service, wine and ambiance. We will definitely go again.
Lovely setting (on patio), delicious food (salmon) and excellent service. Very happy and look forward to returning. Thanks!
Luca used to be a wonderful bustling Italian restaurant in Oakland - haven't been for a few years and wow things have changed. Short staffed. Food was very mediocre and hardly anyone there. It's a shame that the quality has declined so. Won't be back. Wouldn't be surprised if they close.
Went there for lunch. My husband and I sat on the beautiful patio and had a delicious lunch and amazing service from our waitress amber.
