Luma Wine Bar & Restaurant

I've enjoyed dinner at Luma twice now. Both dining experiences were very good and service was exceptional. The only reason I didn't give Luma 5 stars is because the indoor seating is a bit close together and other diners aren't always aware of how loud they're talking. That can make conversation at your own table difficult. Also, although my meals were delicious, I've only had salads, brussels sprouts and seafood dishes. I can't really speak for the other menu items. But, they do have a full bar and everything else I saw, including drinks, looked amazing. Honestly, I hope to go back again.

Just experienced Restaurant Week and Luma did not disappoint! Vanilla Manhattan to start - then the feature salad followed by the crab stuffed shrimp. Lemon dessert was my selection. Service by Nicole was exceptional! This is a must try place, not only for Restaurant week, but anytime!!

Fantastic meals and exceptional service

The service was kinda not as I expected. I felt as if we were kinda being served as a favor. No offer of extra bread. Had to ask for more water. No light conversation. I felt as if my waitress was having a bad day. Which is sad because it was a special celebration day for us. The other party had a very friendly outgoing attitude and was training a new guy. They were like night and day. Hopefully we can get a friendlier waitress next time. Food was very good however The filet was supposed to be 8 ounces. It absolutely was not. I took a star off for that. It was maybe 5-6. I know because I measure my food on weight watchers.

From Maryland. This is the first good crab cake I've had in 6 years of living in Pittsburgh. Talked to some of the staff and they knew exactly what they were doing with crab cakes. 100% would recommend for any Maryland transplants.

First time coming here was for a birthday dinner on December 28th, 2024 didn’t have a reservation but they were able to get us a table and everything we had was really good. The food was delicious and got a glass of wine that tasted wonderful and had a really good flavor but the other drink I got was a little too strong for my taste. Need to ease up on the alcohol a bit on the drinks it takes away the rest of the flavor from the drink. Also our waitress was really nice but felt like she rushed us a bit while we were trying to eat our food trying to take away our food. Also the desserts we had were delicious, will definitely be back for the food and desserts. Also I have to say in the review, the parking lot is kind of dark, need more lighting in the back so people can see where their going especially people that don’t have the greatest eye vision.

I'd like everyone to see how the OWNER treats his customers. My wife was not feeling well and we unfortunately had to cancel our dinner reservation. The owner replied with an incredibly rude and insensitive message. He does not know what type of illness, disease, or condition my wife may have, and how serious it is. To respond in that fashion is completely unacceptable for the owner of a local business. Hopefully he thinks twice next time before being disrespectful to a guest and thinks of their perspective first.

Had dinner there last night and it was delicious! We thought it was reasonably priced for the quality of food you get. Our server was attentive and very kind. We will definitely be back!
