Macs & Stacks - North Shore

Probably the worst food experience I’ve ever had in Pittsburgh. I’m pissed I hate getting ripped off. I was so hungry I forgot to check all the bad reviews before I ordered.

Dry and sad.

Place doesn't exist, it's like a grubhub not physically there.

As a connoisseur of all things cheese, and particularly that of the Grilled Cheese, the fact that something like Mac & Stacks exists so close to my new work is probably not good for my diet. That being said, it was an encounter that I could not deny.

Nor, after having had their food, would I want to deny it a second time. The food was fantastic!

I opted simple for my first time ordering out, having it delivered. So I can't speak as much to the location or in-house staff. Though, the delivery came without any complications compared to anywhere else delivering to my workplace.

AS for the food itself, again, starting simple. I got their Modest Mac, and their OGC (original) grilled cheese sandwich. And I indulgently enjoyed both quite heavily.

The only thing I would express to those going there the first time, is that their basic grilled cheese's special sauce is unique and quite flavorful. It stacks quite heavily against the grilled cheese itself, but it doesn't overwhelm. That being said, it can give off vibes similar to a Miracle Whip grilled cheese, which I have seldom heard of and tried only once, but I promise that's not what it is. Though, if you're sensitive or squeamish to the idea, just get one of the more built up grilled cheeses, and you'll have a great time.

As for the Modest Mac, that was a ball straight out of the park. Delicious, all on its own. Enough so that I can't imagine how good the other ones must be.

Though, considering how close it is to work, I'm sure I will be finding out soon!

Was greeted with “kitchen is closed.” Googled closest place near me to get food and Mac’s and stacks came up. I called the number and it said “thank you for calling bar Louie” asked the bartender as I was confused and she said “oh yea, that’s us but you have to order it online. It’s our ghost kitchen. You have 5 minutes to get your order in.” Only option for wings is boneless (I’m gluten free) so I couldn’t eat anything. The bartender had a bad attitude and acted super inconvenienced

Last week I tried two of their 'stacks' both were very good. It was easy to pick up at the bar in Bar Louie. Unfortunately I went to order another and they took all the stacks off of the online ordering. I hope this is fixed soon especially since it's kind of the second part of the name.

Driver's often don't wanna pick up food that late, so it goes through several drivers. My orders have taken an hour at times but they've never cancelled (don't get the fries, waste of money)

Wow!! I had to get on here and write a good review for the fine folks at Mac and Stacks!! First off, I have visited these restaurants for 15 years and their food quality exceeded my expectation. I have ordered Uber Eats so many times, they probably know my name. I love that they are open late, helps me out with my crazy schedule. Now for the yummy part.......their Mac and cheeses are delicious, creative, and consistent with a PERFECT amount of sauce and cheese!! Their sandwiches (especially the patty melt) are superb!! Love, love, love the way they toast their bread. Oh!!!! And their chocolate cake, yeah you're gonna need 2 slices. Moist, creamy chocolate icing that almost taste like Granoche or mousse.

Instead of fixing their mistake and giving the driver my food, the restaurant cancels the order. This is after I waited nearly two hours for an order that was only supposed to take 25-40 minutes. Never ordering from them again.
