The food is amazing but there is a long wait, and no indoor seating but it is definitely worth it!

I’ve been coming here for a long time. I live right around the corner. On Sunday, September 14th I was attacked by a pitbull who ran out of their house, and attacked me. He chased me halfway up the street near Madeline’s. I grew up with dogs. This encountered terrified me. Anyway I started hanging up signs in Regents Square to warn people. She tore them down. I asked her employees if they would hang a banner in their window warning our community and they refused and banned me from the store. That’s fine, that’s their right. But you have a right to know that this baker is actively destroying the flyers I put up because she is afraid that the nearby danger will scare you away from her store. I think this is shameful, greedy and evil behavior and shows a lot about who she is as a person, but it is her right. She care more about making money than your safety.

In any case, all of the rumors that she is spreading about me is false. I peacefully asked her to hang a flyer. I did yell and say that blood was on her hands for doing the irresponsible thing, but I left her alone. She accosted me on the street when I was hanging flyers. She started yelling at me. I am not your enemy. I am your neighbor. There is a dangerous dog in the area. I was attacked by it. You should use extreme caution. Please avoid the corner of Union and Peebles street if you value your safety, the safety of your animals, and the safety of your children.

Sadly honesty is hard to come by these days. The pull-apart and danishes are the best things on the menu. Highly recommended. So 4 stars for food, despite being fired for caring too strongly about my neighbors. But cest le vie. It’s a small price to pay if someone avoids getting hurt.

God bless.

I had a macaron from this place, and it was great! One of the best macarons ive ever had. I had gone there on a mission to find catering (for macarons) for a party im having, and i would totally recommend this bakery for that. The cashier was helpful in answering my questions also. I have pictures from after i already bit into it, unfortunately none from before, showcasing its beauty 💔.

Just tried this place for the first time today and I would give 5000 stars if I could!! Charming little bakery with very friendly, knowledgeable staff and truly incredible baked goods. The morning bun is a must try. We will definitely be return customers.

Wow, what an incredible little bakery! Super simple storefront with some seating outside, this is one of the best bakeries in pgh! Their lamination on all their baked goods is incredible, you quite literally cannot go wrong with anything here, but the croissants and danishes are a notch above anywhere else. Plus, the friendly staff, the community, and the pretty area makes this a great place to stop by, a must try!

Good croissants. Very small, room inside for two or three small groups, we waited outside

A bit expensive, and need to get there early so everything isn't sold out. Pastry are fantastic though.

We stopped just for coffee. Once we walked in, we realized we also needed a pork belly sandwich and a couple baked goods… We even took a baguette home… The people are exceptionally nice. We felt welcome as soon as we walked in. As soon as you open the door, it smells amazing. The food and drinks were awesome and on top of that, it is VERY very fairly priced.

Madeline's Bakery and Bistro is a lovely discovery, tucked away and feeling like a true hidden gem. I popped in for coffee, which was great, but the real standout was their homemade-level cookies. They were absolutely delicious – clearly made with care and tasted wonderfully fresh.
My only slight hesitation for five stars is that their overall selection seemed a bit smaller than some other places. Still, Madeline's is a delightful find

This is one of my go-to bakeries in Pittsburgh! The sandwiches are always really good - we normally place an order ahead of time because they tend to sell out fast. The double chocolate cookie is also a favorite!
