Margaux is a nice place for one drink on the cusp of Shadyside and East Liberty. The decor and inside was cute, but the high ceilings caused the place to have a loud echo rather than a cozy environment. We went on a Friday night, and they were out of most beers which was disappointing, but my cocktail was good. Plan to pay a little more for a beer or cocktail than what you'd normally expect, but depending on the vibe you're looking for this would be a great night out with friends

What a stunnnnnnning coffee shop/cafe!!! Loved the historic building, stunning natural light soaked lounge area, plants & allll the vibes! Seriously, beautiful! We stopped in for an oat milk latte and it was out of this work! Perfectly frothed, creamy & strong espresso! So happy we stopped in here! It was such a vibe & the best coffee! ☕️

I stopped in last night, there were two young ladies behind the bar that didn't acknowledge my presence. But when I came in there was a young man sweeping the floor because it was almost closing time and he put the broom down and came behind the bar to wait on me. He's the superstar in this story! Even after he got my drink, the young ladies behind the bar never made eye contact with me. Hard to believe you can go to a place in East Liberty and be treated as if you are invisible.

Lovely Vibe. Crazy that a cup of decaf coffee is $7 these days. Why not have decaf drip so we can get a refill? But great place to work with lots of natural light. Considering it a WiFi charge ?

The coffee, drinks, and food are all solid here. It’s a beautiful, spacious location to meet up with friends!Why the two stars then? The bathrooms were absolutely filthy. It looks like they haven’t been cleaned in weeks! The toilets had red rings in them and splatters all over, the sink was covered in dirt, hair, and soap, and the floor was littered with paper towels. Honestly, if this is how the bathrooms are, I don’t want to imagine what it’s like behind the scenes (fingers crossed it’s better?!). I can’t go back. It was gross. I emailed the owners but never got a response back. Just sharing my experience so that others are in the know!
Great food and atmosphere but there’s definitely a bit of an sterile energy to the place. After coming in during both morning and evening, I definitely recommend coming for brunch!
