Thank god my social group organizer told me about this place. Excellent food and service.When our small group got seated the place filled up in no time within a half hour. That alone tells you how good this place is.Wish i could get mail order for the perogies.

Max's Tavern has that old time German feel to it. As someone who lived in Germany for 6 years, the food was just like the real thing. I would definitely come back here to get my German food fix again.

Enjoyed a cozy evening last night of crawling up to the bar to enjoy great beer, amazing food, and the Buccos game on TV. Totally hit the spot on a chilly, rainy evening.This is definitely one of the Burgh's best-kept secrets!

We enjoyed the atmosphere, the service, and of course, the food! The stuffed Pretzel was amazing and I enjoyed trying the Knackwurst, Bratwurst, and Weisswurst platter. The desserts looked heavenly, but we were stuffed.
Lots of great German cooking. The wiener schnitzels are very good. My only complaint would be that the servings are too large! The server was wonderful. They treated my autie kid with kindness and compassion.
