I have a matcha problem and I really enjoyed the matcha ice cream here. Levels 2 and 3 were great but I’m sure that level 1 is good too! Good customer service as well. I also liked that there were non-matcha flavors available for my non-matcha consuming companions.
I never thought coffee could be green. I thought it shouldn't be. In my mind, green was reserved for vegetables and Shrek. How wrong I was. Oh, how wrong. I feel like an idiot. Stupid! Stupid! Why didn't I step foot in Meccha Matcha sooner? How could I be so blind? My life changed the day inspiration hit me like a brick to the face like divine intervention and I spat out the heaven-sent ambition to look rightward on my walk down Murray Avenue to inhale vinyl dust and pretend to look at jazz music at Jerry's. Past the tables, beyond the glass, past some more tables, and behind a counter made of wood woodier than something that is made of wood, there stood a matcha barista – a matcharista, a machrista – named Isla? Idina? Indy? Not important. Ivy showed me the way. Irene splashed iced matcha in my face, and in an instant, I was awake, as if for the first time. Irving taught me that happiness lives in a plastic cup full of green liquid that has ice in it and also a straw in it. I would give ten stars if I could, but I can't, because there aren't that many stars.
Honestly such a cool place. A little on the expensive side, but a unique menu for Pittsburgh. This was my first time having anything matcha related, so I’m certainly no expert, but I enjoyed both items I got from here. I got the house latte and matcha ice cream.
The matcha ice cream you can get in levels, with varying amounts of caffeine and intensity. I just tried a level one, and it was still really tasty. Creamy ice cream, not overpowering but present matcha flavor. Really good, and a great portion.
The house latte was also great. It had condensed milk for sweetness and whole milk for the creaminess. Was very solid although again, a bit pricey. If I go next time, I’ll get another one of their more unique drinks like something with sesame or some of that soft serve.
Happy to see a matcha place that is concious about caffiene content labeling, the affogato was great
Best matcha I’ve had in a while. If I lived closer I’d go all the time
Delicious matcha!
Really enjoyed the parfait here, with a lot of great layers of red bean, jelly, cream, plus the cake and crushed ice cream cones really brought great texture! Sadly they are changing their weekend special from stronger matcha to coconut and Thai iced tea. The flavors were good, but definitely not as strong as I would have liked. Personally I’ll stick to the matcha soft serve, but still one the best spots around for any matcha treat!
Best matcha ever!
Chai Matcha was great, so was the ubi/pandan soft serve. What my kids loved best: the child-height urinal in the further bathroom! LOL Everyone in our group left happy (and slightly caffeinated)
Excellent beverage exspierience and Excellent service, very pleasant atmosphere...very relaxing...

DoorDashed a Matcha Strawberry Oat Latte with Matcha Jelly. I can see why it’s their number one seller !!
Get swirl of day. Customer service was A+ and matcha flavor was strong.
Drove 40 min for this matcha and would 100% do it again! Love that you can customize the level of caffeine in your latte (the greener the better) and they have so many great flavors to choose from. We got the strawberry and lavender lattes… 10/10. So excited to go back and try everything else on the menu!!
I've gotten Matcha Lvl 1 soft serve, Yozu Angel Refresher, and Strawberry Matcha Oat Ice Latter and everything was a 5/5. The strawberry Matcha taste like real strawberries (or freeze dried) instead of syrupy and the matcha of everything is as expected high quality than compared to generic matcha you would buy at home. Inside is very cute and homey vibes but its fairly small. Employees are probably part time student workers and are very nice and polite.
Ube Ice Cream is very good.
