I can’t believe the level of indifference. We lived in Philadelphia for 6 years and there were so many incredible oyster places. We were so excited to visit Merchant after moving back to Pittsburgh. So, after visiting 4 or 5 times, we’re just super disappointed. Theres a really off-putting “bro” atmosphere. The food other than the oysters seems like a total afterthought. Many times, we’ve ordered potato salad and the potatoes are rock hard. Tonight, I ordered a crab cake and the center was raw. The white wine is barely cold. The guys in charge just stare at their phones the whole time. I want it to be a great experience but it never is.

One of my favorite spots in Lawerenceville! The staff is so friendly and helpful explaining the menu to us since it was our first time at a seafood restaurant. The food was so good, we were about to order it again to take home. Highly recommend!

Visited in May after being in Lawrenceville for a year! Was not much of an oyster person until I went, but the staff was super helpful in suggesting which oysters I would enjoy and were incredibly friendly. The food was excellent and would highly recommend the experience!

The clam boil was amazing, as were the oysters. My kid ordered the foot long and it was easily 14" long. Great beer on tap too. The place is very small and we sat at the center bar. It was tight and slightly awkward to talk to people further down the bar. Overall great experience.

Came here because another restaurant we wanted to go to was too long of a wait. Came in, sat down immediately and ordered drinks. Ordered food when drinks came out...service was impeccable. Jason was out server and he was friendly, funny and efficient. Food tasted amazing!!!
This place is always a nice treat. Has fresh seafood, great service, and a ambiance that feels lifted out of the cape cod area right into Weeteen PA. Great for a nice day out of drinks and fun with friends on days with nice weather

RI clear chowder WAS NOT Rhode Island at all!!! It was greasy and red broth colored with NO CLAMS but had sausage. Not sure why you would think that's RI clear chowder??? It's more like portuguese kale without the kale. lmao. The stuffies were burnt to a crisp as if they reheated it all dang day over and over. The other items we ate (lobster roll, mussels, oysters, pork sandwich) were all good.
