It's a cute little place with decent food for great prices. I couldn't finish the gyro and fries I ordered because of the amount of food. The employees were efficient and friendly.

Never a bad meal at Mike & Tony's. Still the best gyro I've ever had.

the gyro is so great, but the atmosphere is very boomer. like, they partly treat you like a child and not a customer. but tbh the Gyro is so amazing I will definitely return. and it's cheap.
Vegetarian options: they probably hate vegetarians

Cash only! Not a problem in and of itself, but it would've been nice to have a sign at the door. There was an ATM in case you didn't have cash, but it was non-functional — luckily I had just enough on hand to pay for my meal.
The employees were brusque, and the one at the register seemed annoyed that he had to tell me what my total was, which was kind of perplexing. They seemed busy, so I'll chalk it up to them just being rushed, but it nevertheless left a bad taste in my mouth.
Despite the service, the food spoke for itself — the gyro was tasty, and the fries especially were hot and crispy.
Overall, the food didn't quite outweigh the weird vibe for me, but if all you care about is getting a good gyro, this might be the place for you.

What has happened to this place??..went here 5 yrs ago and was excited to be In Pitt and walking distance to the downtown location..ordered Gyros..pierogies and fries
The pierigies were ok, but the Fries were so bad they were uneatable.. limp, soggy and bland..both tasted of old grease that was in need of changing..the gyro meat was pressed Spam-like meat with greek seasonings and an overloaded messy glop of tzatziki sauce..I took only a couple bites, but my hubby ate about half before realizing something just tasted off..He was plagued with an upset stomach for the rest of the night and half the next day..not exactly food poisoning, but close..Never again!!!..what a shame!!!!
Cash only. I hate reviews like this, but I walked a distance to eat here. I don’t know how the food is; I couldn’t get any. You walk past a giant window, walk through 2 doors, order at a long counter, then wait in line at a register and NOWHERE does it say “cash only.” I wasn’t digging the vibe anyway; there’s a $4 “inconvenience fee” for dine in even though the dump is unoccupied at peak lunch hour. Maybe it’s a Pitt thing, but service at the counter was lacking a “welcome customer” feel. In the end, I wasn’t mad I couldn’t give them my money.

Amazing food, awesome price for the amount of food you get. Bring cash they don't accept cards but makes me want to support them even more when in downtown.

Mothers day my dinner wish was a gyro. My kids took me here. My gyro was perfect. The veggies were fresh, bread soft and meat and sauce just right. The fries were 8 out of 10. My daughters got chicken wrap and steak hogie . They enjoyed every much. My son got a burger that filled him up and needed to bring the fries home. The waitress was friendly but they were probley understaffed or maybe just a off day for her.It was a nice mothers day.

Service is DIRT!!!! If you want or need to be completely ignored or talked down to, THIS is the place!!! You are NOT welcome here and your money is no good if you are a person of color (particularly black). The "manager" asked everyone around me what they wanted to order. When I spoke up and asked if I could order, he (manager) said "What do you want?!? I'm not a mind reader! And when two Pittsburgh police said that I was next and he shouldn't talk to me like that and, to wait on me next, he (manager) said I'm not a referee. Then the manager and the guy making my sandwich, proceed to laughed out loud at my order and say out loud "Who orders a sanwich like this?"...THIS business will NEVER get ONE cent from me EVER! Even if it's the LAST place left in the city to get food...PERIOD!As a response to the owner: I know EXACTLY where your establishment is located on Liberty avenue in downtown Pittsburgh as I work for a business down the street. And YOU sir are a liar! Your replies are generic and aren't heartfelt. Just own up to your piss poor attitude and treatment of patrons. Treat people with kindness and appreciation...it goes a LONG way!

This place is extremely racist. Walked in to order completely ignore and barely acknowledged as a person. Walked into to place my order at the counter assuming that’s where my order would be taking was told I need to order in the middle of the counter. Where my order was not taking. Then a Caucasian male walks in and also goes to register he gets a greeting and pulled out his order form and proceeded to take his order. I have been standing there waiting for my order to be taken. They need to learn how to treat all customers equally and not just acknowledge the ones that look like them. Yes my reviews are all in jersey but I am in Pittsburgh today and had this experience.
Looks like this place had better days and still not recovered from WFH that emptied the surrounding buildings, too bad.

Stopped in on my way out of town. Gyro was hot and packed, as were the fries. It was delicious, fresh, and cheap. Thank you!

I have been going to mike and Tony's for years now and I love their lamb gyros they're not stingy with the lamb. Gryros nice and stuffed. Customer service is always good. Food is very delicious and tasty
Parking: It's difficult to find parking but it is downtown Pittsburgh. Just find a quick parking spot and run in to get your food and leave before you get a ticket.
