Millie’s offers unique ice cream flavors, but the real star is the waffle cone. This is the best texture of waffle cone that I’ve ever encountered. Always choose this place when searching for ice cream in Pittsburgh.

Awesome home made ice cream and groovy flavors. I am partial to the vanilla but also had strawberry jam, which was phenomenal!! I must visit every time I'm out there!

I adore Millie's. Their flavors are great as are the options for both dairy free and gluten free. If you're concerned about cross contamination and you let them know about your allergy, they'll open a new container (either full sized or pre-packed pint) and use a new, clean scoop for it. Pre-Celiac, I also very much enjoyed their waffle cones. My current favorite flavor is the Pina Colada (limited summer flavor) and Mango dairy free gelato is my usual go to.

Cute place with delicious ice cream along with dairy, nut and gluten free options. Espresso was very good also.

This newly opened spot in Oakland has a great atmosphere! I love that they come up with new flavors every month, keeping things exciting. The fact that it’s run by nurses and offers a healthcare worker discount makes it even more special. The chocolate was incredibly rich and delicious. Definitely a must-visit!

Good vegan options, not just one or two, that rotate often. I found the brownie batter flavor I tried a little coconut-heavy, but the texture was great. Vegan options cost the same as dairy. Would be nice if the kiddie size wasn’t age restricted, as the small is already pretty generous (and $6). Updated from previous review on 2024-08-12

Came here for the Affogato and wasn’t disappointed ???
Got it classic with vanilla and was really good. Good portion

I always appreciate having a few different options for vegan ice cream. I’ve tried a few and the Pistachio Fluff is the best. Looking forward to another scoop.

They have the best vegan ice cream and they keep adding more and more flavors! I got the mint chocolate chip today but the mango is also excellent!

We chose this location for our post-wedding photos, and we couldn't have been happier with the service we received — not to mention the delicious ice cream! Highly recommended!

They use pure ingredients without any artificial flavors or sweeteners which is very important to me. A double scoop of their dairy-free mint chip ice cream served on a homemade waffle cone by their friendly staff is simply divine.

I stopped in to the new(ish) Millie's in Oakland this past week for a midday coffee pick-me-up. I had thought that maybe being an ice cream and coffee place they might have a fun blended coffee option. That ended up not being the case, so I ordered a vanilla iced macchiato instead. I'm not completely sure I can tell a difference between their version of a macchiato and a generic iced latte or americano, but I knew that going in. Overall it did the trick which was to give me a boost to finish out the workday, but I think in the future I'll stick with Millies for their awesome ice cream and not so much the coffee. The drink was incredibly sweet to the point where I think the sugar did more lifting than the caffeine, and I couldn't really identify anything special about the espresso. However, the cashier was very friendly and there was no issue with the service or location itself!

Millie’s Coffee ‘n’ Creamery and had a mix of thoughts about my experience. While the service was impeccable and the store maintained a clean and inviting environment, I couldn’t help but notice the limited dairy-free options available. At this particular location( 207 Oakland Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15260) there was only a single dairy-free choice and one sorbet option. The convenience of the prime location was definitely a plus, but I found myself wishing for a broader selection of dairy-free and Flovors in general to cater to a wider range of preferences.
