Brisket had tasty smoke flavor but was dried out. Sorry to see they've switched to cheap lemonade mix. All in all, it seems there has been a drop off in quality & service.

Mission BBQ is great. I most recently got a brisket sandwich and it was delicious. Portions can be a little small but the food is delicious.

This is the only place in Southwest PA I've found that serves BBQ similar to how I used to order it in Alabama. They have collard greens, which is huge in my book, and their sweet tea does justice to real Southern sweet tea. Also, the food is very affordable here. You've got a customer for life, guys.

What is not to love! They honor our veterans and first responders throughout the restaurant and play the national anthem at lunch time. All the employees and patrons stand and sing together to honor our country and its veterans and active duty soldiers. The food is delicious and the sauces are so good we bought the 6 pack variety to take home. The portions are big and the price is right. The staff always are smiling and so helpful. They introduce themselves by name and ask if you have questions to make your visit more enjoyable. Highly recommended!!

We had a takeout order of $60, and when we asked for more than one of a given sauce, the bag packer seemed annoyed. Our sauce containers were thrown in the bag (note, they are small plastic cups with usual lids) and we headed home.
Then, when we got home, we noticed one of the container of sauce had spilled all over the takeout containers, luckily contained in the paper bag. Perhaps it was an accident, but it certainly got on food we didn’t intend to use the sauce on, which diminished the experience.
When we called the store as a courtesy, to let them know, Trevor answered, seemed annoyed, and barely offered an apology, let alone a sincere one. While not expected, Trevor offered no corrective action nor resolution, he simply said, “Thank you,” and used my name, which I had not previously offered, nor any particular identifying information, except that I had a to-go order, placed in the store. The tone and seemingly flippant disposition Trevor used to convey his short message was unfriendly, and using our names felt like some form of subtle intimidation.
A poor situation was made worse by the phone call with Trevor.
The food: Fine, more bones and hard/inedible ends than we’d like for the cost.

Mission BBQ is a haven of good barbecue in the north. Before when I have tried barbecue outside of the south it is almost always a waste of money. Mission BBQ is the exception!
While it doesn’t compete with Texas craft barbecue, it beats places like Dickey’s by miles. The brisket was done surprisingly well. It says “Texas inspired” and you can tell they have done their homework when you even see lean and moist listed on the menu. It had good flavor and good bark to it. Jalapeño and cheese sausage was good. Fries were great.
Pulled pork was better than I’ve had at a lot of other places.
They even have good sweet tea! It’s hard to find places up here that even offer sweet tea.
Everyone was courteous and friendly. I would happily return next time I’m in the area. I love seeing all the support for military and LEO. Even spotted the patch for my hometown PD.
If you want an idea of what good Texas barbecue is like, go to Mission. If you’re from Texas and missing the taste of home, go to Mission.

Didn't stay long. The person at the register didn't seem to like that we had questions. We have eaten at other mission bbqs, but the service at this one had us walking right out the door.

This place is awesome.
We've been to this place numerous times, and it's always excellent.
2 of the times my wife and i stopped after leaving children's hospital after seeing her son, they gave us a free meal and a free desert because they saw the name tags on our shirts. That was a true act of kindness.
