Went here yesterday and I absolutely loved the food. I’m from Brooklyn but live in Florida and KD was amazing . Music had me thinking I was on the block. This place is a hidden gem even though I didn’t get my fries which are amazing!!!

Walked in and asked could we look at a menu. They had none. We asked the very questionable cook how do we order without a price menu. I'll add it up as we go. And it didn't smell clean.

I returned back to this place because the first time I had it, the food was great. The chicken was not seasoned well but the fish and sides was great. This time I brought my friend along with me and it was horrible. The macNcheese was dry and hard. Like it’s been sitting for hours. But I believe it was because the cook put my sides in a microwave to warm up. So that means it wasn’t fresh. No salt and very peppery. ChicFilA macNcheese tasted better than what they gave me.The yams was okay, very mushy and too much nutmeg. They was going to put a small piece of fish on my plate until I asked them why am I paying $25 for 1 small piece of fish that looked like a cat fish nugget. They did add another piece once they seen what I was talking about. They ran out of filets and gave my friend small nuggets. it’s already enough that it’s not a lot of black own soul food places but this place doesn’t give consistency at all. It’s a hit and miss and they charge a lot but the price isn’t worth it. I won’t be back.

I would rate it lower but while i was waiting inside the cook was smoking while behind the counter that is insane to me the young girl that took my order was very nice and also they didn't have half the items on the menu i don't know that is crazy to me that you would be smoking while you are cooking and i am a smoker that ruined it for me like smoke outside i can wait a little longer please tell me what i should do that is nasty to me

Placed an order through Uber eats, portions are great, fish is salty, too much old bay poured on top. Macaroni and cheese is bland no salt seems like it was microwaved. I asked for salt and pepper and hot sauce didn’t receive any condiments. Won’t order again.

It’s always nice to find a spot that serves you authentic soul food and this place does just that. It was my first time trying their food and it won’t be my last time. The food was so good. I wish I had a photo to upload but let’s just say the food didn’t make it home with me lol
