I photographed Jen & Josh's wedding here and it was a fantastic experience. The location is second to none in Pittsburgh with its amazing views of the city, and the food and service are outstanding. It is a great location for photos as well. I highly recommend it!
Delicious meal, great service, and incredible views! The big eye tuna and crab cakes were both phenomenal! I look forward to visiting again.

Great food. Great service. Outstanding view. I highly recommend this restaurant. We had an appetizer, fish dishes, shareable sides, and dessert. All outstanding.

This is an unfortunate review to leave, but I really feel as though Monterey Bay is just not up to par. I was there in February and our waitress was lovely, but a few things went wrong: I asked for Bailey’s in my martini, which they forgot. When I asked the waiter if I could have it made the way I asked, they brought me a side of baileys to pour in myself??? Then charged me for it. Secondly, the mussels were absolutely flavorless. The waitress knew we didn’t like them because no one ate them and apologized. Our fish came out ice cold—was sent back, then came back out again cold. The manager came over once and we were very kind considering. Don’t bother with the French onion filet. It’s gimmicky and not good at all. The waiter made it seem like they comped us a dessert, but every other table got one as well so we were disappointed at the lack of effort to rectify the situation especially after an expensive dinner like that. I spoke with a lovely manager who offered me a refund or to mail me a gift card if we’d like to come back and give it another shot. I accepted the gift card, which was to be mailed — we have yet to receive such gift card. Truthfully, should have just gone with the refund, which I think was more than reasonable at the time. Overall, the service was good, but the food was the worst meal we have had in Pittsburgh.
A very expensive restaurant in a very expensive neighborhood offering high end food options and drinks with one of the best views of the city.Wait staff is top notch and their service was wonderful too.Highly recommend
I am obsessed with their bread and butter. The steak is always good. but the crab cakes are DELICIOUS and that angel food cake dessert is top tier. Spend the money and go.
Spectacular food to accompany the amazing view and friendly service!

A longstanding restaurant that still delivers. Few places are able to sustain years of excellence and continually meet or exceed expectations. My wife and I took the kids (13, 12 and 9) for a special dinner. Somewhat concerned how the kids will handle a nice place. From the moment we arrived, MB has family dining down pat. Goody bags for the kids, special and fun drinks, and attention to them. We had a seafood tower to start, which was exceptional. The shrimp and oysters especially, but the poke was also worth mentioning. The linguini pescatore was out of this world- packed with shrimp, mussels, scallops and plenty of pasta. The crab cakes are always wonderful as were the salmon dishes. The service was exceptional and noteworthy. Attentive, concerned (we have a food allergy in the family), and timely. Highly recommend.

We love this restaurant and attend here semi-regularly for special occasions-- we always receive great food, great drinks, and great service. This Saturday, we had an absolutely excellent experience with Bobby as our waiter, who went above and beyond: he was funny, thoughtful, and ever-present; he gave tips on how to re-heat our fries at home so they turn out just as good as in the restaurant; he even comped out dessert as a celebration for our anniversary. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to treat themselves or go out for a high-end special occasion.
