Great location and food is amazing! Best smash burger!

I understand the concept of a smash burger but the pricing really doesn’t reflect the portions size of burgers or other food.

I do like the brand ethos & the atmosphere + you can tell it’s not your ordinary fast food
per se but there’s still a lot of room for improvement.

Everything is thin here —
Making the burgers a little more thicker. Had a bacon burger & the bacon & burger was the same thickness as bacon lol.

Also the fries are super thin & 3 tenders being $8 a la carte is kind of crazy.

The sauces all seem prepackaged & not house made as well. By no means not a bad space but for the price these kind of nuances stand out & have to matter IMO

Perfectly thin smashed burger with a crispy mallaird skirt. Potato bun. Pickles, cheese, and an abundance of orange sauce. Truly the most divinely correct cheeseburger I've had the pleasure of consuming in my life so far.

And $2 for a cup of cheese to dip your burger and shoestring fries in? Sublime.

I went to Shake Shack one night after having tried Moonlit. I found nothing but sorrow; Shake Shack's burger lacks the soul that Moonlit's emanates. My only criticism of Moonlit is that I wish it was open later into the eve. I could see myself wandering in late on a Friday night, and have previously lamented my inability to do so (and found myself in the aforementioned misbegotten Shake Shack).

It used to be a lot better but the last 3-4 times i’ve gone there my burger has been absolutely saturated in grease. The bottom bun is soggy by the time you eat it and there is usually a puddle of grease at the bottom of the box. I used to really love eating here so I hope they find a solution for it

Both the fries and burger had a really good taste. Seasoned well. We ordered via Uber Eats so it was cold, but that's not their fault. Was good even cold. We'll try to go onsite next time. Definitely will have again...

To start this story off with an unfortunate event, me and a few of my buddies are from outa town and we came to visit a friend staying in Pittsburgh. you may be asking yourself “Trevor how in the heck does this pertain to the best burger place in town” well let me finish my story. The car we took down broke in the parking garage adjacent to the burger place. We spent 7 hours trying to fix the vehicle. After 7 hours, morale was low, phone battery’s were dead and ideas where running out. So I went in to change my and a friend’s phone where I unexpectedly ran into someone that tried helping us out early. I soon cam to realize this was the one of the owners. I explained the situation and he tried his best to lend a hand and get us the tools we needed that the business just so lucky had on hand. If it wasn’t for the owners generosity of being nice and lending a had out to someone in need we probably wouldn’t have been able to make it home . I’m not sure if any of my other friends left a review yet but without the kind generosity of the owner we would have found ourselves in a completely different situation that night. The owner had no idea who we where no idea that we where customers, he just want to help out because he saw someone in need and is a GOOD HUMAN. I’ve been to 6 country, countless states, and even more burgers places. This is UNDOUBTEDLY THE BEST BURGER IVE EVER HAD, and i truly do mean that. I can’t even enjoy the taste of some other burger places because moonlit burgers are so good. Because of this experience every time I visit Pittsburgh from now on I will make a point to come back not only because the food is the best in town but because the customer service is unbeatable. To finish my story that night after we got the car running the owner said to my buddy’s and I to “remember this when you see someone in need and remember to lend a had because a little help goes along way” I will remember that night how lucky we where to run into someone so kind for the rest of my life. For me Moonlit Burgers isn’t about the amazing 5 star burger we all crave, it’s about the people who own the place and their passion for creating a welcoming, unforgettable experience. They care about every detail, from the quality of the ingredients to the atmosphere, making you feel like part of their family every time you walk in. It’s more than just a meal. it’s a connection to a community that loves great food and good company.
For what it’s worth non of my review was AI generated I’m not a very good writer but there HASN'T BEEN ANYWHERE I FELT MORE COMPELLED TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE AND LEAVE A 5 star review.

Total comfort food. I don’t eat beef, so when I’m craving a cheeseburger I come here to get the impossible burger and it hits the spot every time. Good bar and shakes as well. Always clean and relaxed inside. One of my favorite places to grab lunch downtown.

I have been to this location 2 times while visiting a friend who goes to Duquesne University. The food, service, and atmosphere are all 10/10 and it’s a unique sauce they put on it that makes it so special. The fries are fantastic as well. On October 13th my vehicle had a problem in a parking garage across the street from their Uptown location. One of the owners who was parked next to my vehicle very generously asked if I needed a jump. A few hours later after me and some friends had done some work to the vehicle he had come back and offered help again and we accepted. We didn’t get it fixed immediately but the kind gentleman offered us some tools and if we needed a ride to get stuff from a parts store. He never once asked us for anything in return but he took time out of his very busy (and full restaurant) and helped out 3 teenage boys who were stuck 5 hours from home. He told us some stories while we were together and told us to simply pay it forward. People like this are why this business is so incredible and will get my business anytime i’m near Pittsburgh. I cannot thank them enough for all of this and we owe him so much as we made it home safely this evening.

this place kills it every time. the value in these burgers is unbeatable!! you can’t get a triple burger anywhere in the city for this price. i could do with a little more substance in the fries — they really put the string in shoestring.

Parking: it is impossible to tell if you can park out front—there is a parking meter and what looks like spots, but there are also permanent no parking signs directly in front of said parking meter
