One of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh. Food was delicious and unique. Service A+ from our elegant server. Pace of bringing tapas was perfect and we were never rushed. Cocktails also superb!

Not our first trip there and certainly not our last. A never miss is the sangria, last night's was red and perfect. Typically we sit at the bar and don't make reservations for a table but we did last night. Doesn't matter where we sit, always enjoy each and every bite. Beef tartare and the white anchovies come with potato chips, each was flavored differently and were perfection. (I'm a chip lover!) We added a few move dishes to share and all were delicious. A never miss whenever we go.

The warm bread and oil was delicious. The jamon with almonds was second to none. The mussels snack was creative and very good. The squash was perfect and, the short rib was absolutely legendary. Five out of five! The only thing needed is better acoustics. Much too loud. Lighting way too low. I'll be back for the best meal in Pittsburgh soon.

Morcilla is one of those Pittsburgh restaurants that is consistently excellent. There are favorites on the menu and always new exciting seasonal entries that deliver solidly. 10/10 dining. Super special spot.

Always a good dining experience at Morcilla. We love the tapas approach for sharing. Server was great helpful.

I eat out a lot. Too much. When I think about what I spend for meals I can make at home I start to wonder if my wife should put me on an allowance. Then there are restaurants like Morcilla in the Lawrenceville/Strip area of Pittsburgh. Every single thing I ate there made me say “How the hell do they make this!?”

Each of the tapas family style plates at Morcilla were carefully prepared and each of them punch you in the mouth with flavor combinations and layers that make you smile and moan.

Service was superb with Greta guiding us through the menu and offering her opinions of things I might enjoy after I engaged her with a healthy dose of what I like and how adventurous I felt that night. Amazing.

The vibe is chill with an authentic feel to it. All- and I mean all- of the staff are well trained but very natural and friendly. Such a pleasure to dine and interact with folks that clearly love what they do.

Cocktails were creative and new for me but I enjoyed all of them like the sherry-based cocktail I started the evening with (I told you I was feeling adventurous that night).

All in all, Morcilla was one of the better experiences I’ve had dining out in some time. The last for me was Danny Meyer’s Gramercy Tavern in NYC. Yes, I know what I’m saying. I put Morcilla in that class in terms of overall experience.

PS: I throw 5 stars around like manhole covers. (Not very often)

PS2: This was my first trip to Pittsburgh and my wife and I are both New Yorkers that now live in NewJersey.

Outstanding meal. It's hard for me to identify my favorite small plate they all were delish. But the beets and apple salad with some spices that were divine. The ribs were fall off the bone good, did I say anything about the sweet potatoes? Oh my goodness. This meal was not pricey at all and I left so full, oh yes and dessert was a sherbet with sticky rice cream. It didn't sound so appealing but my goodness was it heavenly.

Well-informed and ultra-capable service staff and food that is as delicious as it looks. Wonderful to know that this unique establishment remains a thriving location since opening more than ten years ago.

Really enjoyed our night at Morcilla! We brought a friend from out of town and wanted to share with him one of our favorite spots in the city. The food was amazing, sangria was great, and vermouth to end the night was perfect. Our server was on top of it all night, super friendly and attentive to our table. Tapas came out quickly and every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The scallops were hands down the best I have ever and probably will ever have in my life.

Went with 4 people and we had a wonderful time trying some of the small plates along with the beef short rib. Awesome food and unique flavors!

Unfortunately we had high expectations and were very disappointed. The gambas was loaded with paprika and not good(was only served 2 Shrimps). The tartare was basically a bed of horseradish. Then we were celebrating a birthday and waitresses never told told us they were bringing us a dessert. She knew we were leaving but instead of at least offering to go she brought out as I walked out. I have Spanish food and this is not it. A complete and total failure.

A decent attempt to bring Spanish tapas to Pittsburgh what is a great food ingredients, welcoming service, and the great environment. However the food is overwhelmingly sweet and lacking a a memorable flavor.
