Ordered Pad Thai for takeout and loved it! Will definitely go back!

From the moment you walk in and the smell of Thai food hits you, you're salivating! The pineapple sauce that comes with the Crab Rangoons is amazing. It was honestly a toss up as to whether the Khao Soy or Pad Thai were better - each amazing! The only critique I have is that it's a bit nickel and dime-y; pay for a to-go bag, pay extra to split a plate. Worth it for the quality of food but something to keep in mind.

Solid Thai food and very generous portions that can easily be shared. Salads are spicier than entrees. The food is fresh and did not take long to come out. We both liked what we ordered. My mouth was burning, but it gave me life. Wasn’t expecting I but wasn’t mad.
The location is cute, but as soon as you enter it smells terrible like an old cat. Or dirty cats. Which is obviously off putting when you’re coming to eat. Hopefully that can be removed.

Great place, egg rolls are perfect. You can tell a lot about a restaurant based on the egg rolls & I give 👍🏽👍🏽

Oh my! The worst experience I had at Thai food. I asked for my favorite red curry, it came blaaah no taste and like a soup. The server insisted it has coconut but won't feel it and it's done soupy there. So the whole meal of 45$ was wasted!! Hated the dark inside as well.

Best around!

We had a large party and they accommodated us very nicely. I mainly wanted to rave about their Banana roll ice cream dessert and the steamed dumpling appetizer! So yummy!

Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is slim as it is a renovated house and there are stairs to get to the door. But the bathroom is spacious (I don’t remember if there was a railing to grab onto, I don’t think so)

We thought this place was cute until we walked in and server told us to shut the door when it was the customers who just left that left door open. Then we waited and they took orders from 2 tables that were sat after us! So rude. And they add 20% already to the bill and we realized we could have fought that as it's not legal to do when you have less than 6 people in your party.

When we first entered the restaurant, it's like a house.
The party in front of us entered, and we followed behind.
I was the last to enter when the hostess yelled, "Shut the door." Okay, she could have asked nicely.

We were seated close to the kitchen/entrance. The server gave us water and the menu.
2 more tables of guests were seated. We waited to place our order when we realized the other 2 tables' orders were taken prior to ours.
We proceeded to call the hostess, who, in turn, took our orders.
Our appetizer was the spring roll. The outside shell triple the thickness than any other Thai restaurant we've visited before. It's absolutely disgusting. We just ate the inside.
The rest of our dinner was quite good.

They already added 20% tip to your bill. That's why they don't have to use customer service skills, because this place has none.

For sure, not returning and letting those who read reviews avoid this place.

Yeah, I’m really sorry cause I don’t like to do this, but I hope sharing my experience can give them some feedback.
Tom Yum soup was hella bland. I even asked for a 3/5-spice. I know some places will alter recipes to better fit a different customer base…. But this was not it. The garlic ginger chicken main I got technically had a flavor to it… but I lost interest after chewing through my first bite. Esp all for the price that we paid…

Every additional little thing costs extra dollars that they tell you about, what they leave for you to discover is the mandatory 20 percent tips that they add onto the bill .
Stunned that tips are now mandated and that too by the restaurant...so it's like buying your meal and then paying for an hour's worth of their worker's salary. Watch out! Will never visit again

Food is delicious. Unfortunately, their habit of not giving you what you ordered makes it impossible to enjoy!

I used to dine in, then when the pandemic hit, I started ordering food directly through their website for pick-up. I noticed my orders would often contain different ingredients than what was listed than when I selected it online. Pointing it out, or asking for a refund, or waiting for a new order ensued. Eventually, after several times of this happening at the downtown location, I discovered the reason was because their online menu was allegedly out-of-date - the items I was ordering no longer existed. Okay, so you would expect them to call and explain that, or just cancel and refund the order, right? Nope -- their standard practice was to just... give me a different meal than what I ordered. I.e. Ordered the Bangkok Bay, and that no longer exists, so they would just make and give me the Chili Mango Scallop with NO explanation.

Eventually, they seemed to update their menu, and I was able to order things they actually make and get what I ordered. Fast forward to today. I go to order from the North Side location... and see, "Oh, they have the Bangkok Bay on the menu! I haven't seen it there for years! I thought they didn't make it anymore... But, no, they wouldn't take it down and then put it back up if they didn't make it anymore, right...?" I decided to risk it and order the Bangkok Bay.

Big mistake. I show up to pick it up, look in the bag... and can see it's the Chili Mango Scallop! The fact that they do this at 2 locations - downtown and North Side - means this is standard practice: Just give the customer something they didn't order! How can anyone think that's a logical or good idea?! What if I was allergic to the cashews (they come on the Chili Mango Scallop but not the Bangkok Bay)?! I can't fathom how they came up with this plan! It's unfair, and it's absurd!

I should have demanded a refund, but I decided to just take it and eat it, since I like this one, too. Mistake #2. Instead of being topped with the cashews like it says online, it was topped with peanuts.

I'm done. For good this time. This is the most nonsensical restaurant I've EVER encountered.

Pad thai was pretty good...the chicken in the pad thai was chewy and flavorless....the appetizer that is wrapped in rice paper was the most offensive thing I've ever put in my mouth and that's saying something. Servers were nice and the place is beautiful inside. Not in a hurry to go back...street parking free after 6pm which is cool. Made a reservation for 530 but the place was very slow at the time. Nice outdoor area if you're into outdoor eating. The chicken was really inedible as far as I'm concerned. Skip it.
