Been here many times. You can never go wrong with the pulled-pork Po'Boy. The Voodoo fries are always a nice blend of spicy and savory without burning your mouth to a point that you can't taste anything else. They always have interesting specials and if you are looking a taste of New Orleans here in Pittsburgh, Nola's is the best place to experience those flavors. Definitely the best restaurant in Market Square.
I love eating at Nola when visiting Pittsburgh. Awesome cocktails and beer selection. The food could be better considering the cost. I ordered chicken and dumplings and the vegetables on top looked and tasted like they came out of a can.
Not to bad... Beer was a decent price. Tried the Frog Legs... Really crunchy and tasty. I didn't feel the New Orleans spirit... The cooks will ask you about your food.. Staff is friendly. The place is really nice.
Great food and drinks, and nice covered outdoor seating during warm weather! This is a great location right in the heart of Market Square in downtown Pittsburgh. Nice spot for people watching or listening to live music. The outdoor tables have wide umbrellas, so you’re safe from the rain as well.
My first visit was the day after Valentine's. I was unaware of the limited menu until after I was seated with water and the menu. All 3 items I was considering weren't available. It was cold and I was hungry, so I went with the crab cakes. Bad choice. They were mushy, no lump crabmeat. I've had better from the local market. I had already sent 2 glasses of wine back that was too sweet (after stating I like dry). I didn't complain about the crab cakes. The manager did walk around asking if everything is fine. He also brought me an excellent glass of wine, on the house. I'd like to return for the live music & full menu.
Well cooked food. Great beer selection. Gumbo was spot-on. Oysters were almost perfect. Alligator was a touch over-cooked. Seafood bisque was right on the money. I can't wait to go back.
Very nice restaurant. Customer service was great. It's pricey. For my family, it's a special occasion place for us!
The staff and food was fantastic. The atmosphere is so fun. Bigger than it looks. Great for groups and takes reservation. Highly recommend especially for seafood lovers!
Nice food, music and friendly bar staff. They have a great band doing covers 3rd Saturday of the month... fun atmosphere.
Had a business lunch here and found it be quite nice. Service was above average. I ordered the soup and sandwich combo which was a good portion. Gumbo had right amount spice and shrimp po boy was delightful, even if slightly messy!!

My steak was perfect! The drinks were perfect. Dessert was delicious. The service was excellent. I have no complaints. I enjoyed my meal.
We went to Nola a few months ago to see a local blues singer that my fiancé’s mom is a big fan of. The night ended up being awesome (and so was the food which is a big reason I’m still giving 4 stars) but there were a few issues in the beginning that got us off to a rocky start and I wish I would have known before we went to see the live music.
Delightful restaurant, nice friendly atmosphere. Enjoyed the band-). all staff were helpful. Clean and lots of room to move around, food was delicious. Beignets were really good, first time eating them. My first time at Nola on the Square great experience
We stopped in late afternoon on New Year's Eve to have a drink. The staff was friendly, the vibe was cool, the drinks were great and affordable.
This was my first time here. Very warm and friendly place. Food was good and live band was great. Good drinks with a large bar and nice seating and fast service. Well worth a visit.
