Close walk from my office, thought I would give them a try for lunch. The sandwich is quite expensive for $15, based in the size, taste and location on the Northside.

Ordered the Beef and cheddar sandwich and it is a solid sandwich with a pickle on the side. I have also had the Breakfast Sandwich and it is also a great sandwich. I would definitely recommend this Deli and the owner is a super nice guy.

These guys make the most fresh sandwiches with the best tasty meat. I am a black man from Pittsburgh. I was raised on soul food. It ain’t easy to please me when it comes to food and don’t get some soul to it. Tell you these white boys at this place got soul listen I’m the 50 cent look alike I don’t play

Delicious deli sandwiches with a friendly atmosphere. Had their special called “The Heater” (an ode to Paul Skenes), was delicious. It’s basically a Philly cheesesteak with hot peppers and onions on it. The steak was super well seasoned and cooked, and the peppers added a great deal of flavor and heat. The roll was tasty, although I will say got a tiny bit soggy from the juices from the steak. Will definitely get it again!

I've waited to review this spot until I've had it enough times to formulate an opinion. I am now comfortable saying that this is a very mediocre deli. Which is sad because I was hoping that it could replace North Shore Deli which was an amazing deli that used to exist down the street for many years. Everything about this place screams "gentrification". I wouldn't mind paying $12+ for a deli sandwich if it were halfway decent. But this place seemingly puts zero effort into their food and it shows. Final straw for me was when I ordered a simple bacon, egg, and cheese bagel this weekend and it came out on a completely bland bagel. Like a bagel you'd get in a 6 pack at Giant Eagle from Thomas, or, Pepperidge Farm. I've had better breakfast sandwiches from Sheetz.

I think the owners of Fig and Ash should be banned from opening another business on East Ohio. This deli will suffer the same fate as Fat Cat and be closed within a year unless they have a change of heart and make good affordable sandwiches.

I'd honestly rather have JR's and the drug dealing Rita's back over these sorry businesses.

Great spot for thoughtfully crafted sandwiches! The Lower East Side (Pastrami) was a great balance of ingredients on a practically perfect slice of marble rye and the Buffalo Chicken had the best slaw I've tasted in ages.

Deutschtown Deli (401 E Ohio St) has some excellent service and delicious sandwich options. Small dine in counter top for those grabbing a quick bite. Photographed here is the East O Club BLT for $11.99 ~ $15 after tax

I’ll absolutely be back!! Quality deli ?

I ordered the chopped Italian and had the Mac salad. $18 was a bit stiff for a sandwich and macaroni. The bread was at least a few days old. That'd be good for a juicy sandwich to soak it up but not for this. The Mac salad didn't taste very fresh either. As for the chopped Italian, it was all basically cubed pepperoni laying on top of large cuts of lettuce with this unique mayonnaise Italian sauce. I guess I expected it to be mixed and chopped together. Now, I did ask for no tomatoes and they did include some diced tomatoes. I can't stand the texture or flavor of raw tomatoes so the rest of the sandwich headed to the garbage.
