THIS PLACE IS CLOSEDNot that you'll see that posted anywhere (even their Facebook). We went and there was even a menu hanging up in the window and the door was unlocked, but it is very much closed.

Yelp stated this place was open so we took a bus from Pitt only to find it completely shut down.

Very nice brunch-professional staff-eggs benedict was fantastic. Will return.

Closest thing to homemade in my book; I love their buffet

So much yumminess! The amount of food you get for the money is amazing. Everything was very well prepared and you can taste the quality of the ingredients. Staff was very welcoming and prompt.

Nu has fallen off quite a bit. I can't say I've been very happy with the last couple visits. The LEO is bland, I felt like I could make a better version at home. The Reuben is still alright but it's hard to mess up a basic Reuben. It's not a deli anymore. It's trying to be a brunch place but it's not doing it very well. I don't think we'll be returning again.

Great cozy squirrel hill spot with several delicious dishes and a complimentary nosh table. Plenty of food served to you by very friendly staff all for a reasonable price. A gold weekend lunch spot.

My husband came across this place online and we made a special trip from Uniontown. It was definitely worth it! I had the poached eggs and hollandaise with lox, and my husband had the Ruben. They were delicious and the portions huge, plus you got AYCE off the “nosh table,” which had mini homemade bagels, scrambled eggs, cauliflower soup, latkes, coconut shrimp, etc. I can’t believe more people weren’t eating in there, as Pamela’s (they are connected) was packed. The only downside was that parking was hard. Prepare to park on the street, or you can park in the small parking garage at the Carnegie library. We had to circle it but we found a spot.

Like having breakfast at the home of the Jewish Grandma you always wished you had! Service: 5, Food: 4, Value: 4, Atmosphere: 4 This is a small restaurant that is only open on weekends for breakfast/brunch. Our server was great! She kept our coffee full and brought us as much liver spread as we wanted. You order an entree and you are granted access to the nosh table (buffet style breakfast table). Pro tip - you are totally allowed to box up your entire entree and stuff yourself at the nosh table. The entrees themselves were good, but nothing special: we ordered the Nu Benny, Brisket and Eggs, Upstreet Dip. The brisket was a little dry in both the brisket and eggs and the upsteet dip. I would not get the brisket and eggs again. The best things on the nosh table were the latkes and the coconut shrimp. The sweets on the table were just okay (but I am also not a big sweets fan so take that how you will). There was great variety on the nosh table and most of the stuff was above average. Overall a fun breakfast experience with as much great breakfast food as you can fit in your stomach (and a whole entree packed up for later!). Very nice staff with a "homey" feel.

This place has made to order food that is delicious. I got the Nu Benny and it's great. The hollandaise sauce was plentiful and good. A friend got the rueben sandwich and pronounced it the best ever. Another friend got the vegetable stir fry with eggs. No one complained. The nosh table items come with the meal as did the delicious chopped liver. It's worth the trip from Latrobe.

I visit Pittsburgh a few times a year to see my children. We've been to Pamela's - which is right next door to this place - and that is OK. But they really wanted us to visit Nu Bistro this time. So here's some advice: skip Pamela's - go here. Honestly if I'd been smart, I would've checked out the 'small plates buffet' for $7 before ordering an entree that also included the small plates. That amount of food at the buffet would've been just fine. Great service. Good food. This one is getting added to the list of 'must eat' places when visiting Pittsburgh.

Limited menu with few healthy options. Several preps were greasy. Very disappointing!

This spot provides excellent service and delightful meals. One of the best spot in town. The drinks and food came out rapidly and the rates were inexpensive. Highly recommended.

Very neat and welcoming restaurant. They offer large meals and for affordable prices. We liked the menu very much and the staff members were super personal and explanatory. I recommend this place.
