Perfect for a dry January dinner! The food was exceptional, stew, broth, beet salad, and creme brulee. Super cozy and great music selection. Pleasantly surprised to hear Operation Ivy :)

We got a reservation after loving their breakfast menu in the past. They’ve kept up the quality and creatively tasteful flavors.
This is the best start to finish meal I’ve had in Pittsburgh and maybe ever. We ordered almost everything on the menu between the four of us and shared it all. Everything was delicious. Start to finish a wonderful experience and meal.

I'm so happy they brought back dinner. Absolutely phenomenal food. Had the gnocchi in broth, house made sausage, mushroom agnolotti, duck frites, lamb chops, semifreddo, and matcha crème brulée (topped with chili crisp!). Everything was great and was better than the last time we dined here. So happy this gem is in Brookline.

Incredible, cozy, short menu dinner full of treasures. Spectacular food served by an amazing staff. Dinner for 2 or 4 is the best way to enjoy - order 1 of everything.

I understand that the owners are making their own decisions, and I commend them for doing what they want to do. It’s evident that they genuinely care about this place and are skilled chefs who comprehend flavorful upscale cuisine.

However, the new concept represents a significant step backward for us. The prices are excessively high, and the menu options are severely limited. I understand that upscale restaurants often have this structure, but I’m not asking for a McDonald’s with $7 burgers and fries or a Cheesecake Factory with 78 dishes that could feed two people for two days. But over $40 for four ribs on a small plate with no sides? And the only soft drink options are 6 oz bespoke sodas for $4? Four entree choices? Come on…

Here are some suggestions:

- Add two or three more entrees to the menu.
- Provide substantial sides to each entree (either paired or individually chosen).
- Reduce prices by 30%.
- Consider adding lunch and breakfast back to the menu, even if reservations are required since they encountered issues with overcrowding due to the popularity of their old brunch service. Their breakfast and lunch menus were well-received in the city, and I don’t understand why they wouldn’t find a way to keep them in some form. As Chef Ramsey might suggest: Cook up 30 breakfast burritos and 30 sausage biscuits and sell them to-go on weekends, first come, first served with your choice of kombucha or cold brew. They can’t afford to have two people front-of-house selling a few brunch options and pay a cook for a few hours to prepare sandwiches? In the words of Tim Gunn, “Make It Work.” Keep your fancy dinner service for food critics and special occasion customers, and open up for brunch with a few beloved favorites.

How many people who can walk to this restaurant can afford to eat here without leaving hungry? It’s out of touch, and I hope the owners will listen to the valid criticism from people who once adored this place.

But again, the owners have the freedom to make their own choices and run their place however they want. Just know that everyone in the neighborhood I’ve spoken to who used to love this place went once and said they won’t return because the new dinner concept has significantly diminished the value, choice, and overall experience of dining here.

P.S. The removal of the burger from the menu long before the relaunch heralded the decline. Brunch is a slippery slope.

We were lucky enough to snag a reservation for the new Oak Hill Post dinner and we were so wowed!. This menu fabulous! It may look small, but everything we ordered was full of incredible, creative yet balanced flavors!

We split the stew, which I have to say was the best thing on the menu and honestly the best dish I've had in Pittsburgh in years! The broth is dynamite!! Perfect for this time of year, too.

We also ordered the endive salad and the pork ribs and duck frites. Everything was cooked absolutely perfectly! And everything came with a killer sauce. Portion sizes were also really nice and reasonably priced.

The ambiance is more sophisticated than when they were serving breakfast - it's really cozy and the service is great. Our waiter made recommendations and the service was great - they spaced out the courses very nicely so it was a great relaxing date night. Also no cost BYOB which is a huge plus! This place is definitely worth bringing a nice bottle of wine.

I can't say enough about Oak Hill Post! Definitely recommend it - it is such a gem!

We used to visit this place frequently, but I don't think we'll be returning anytime soon. The food and staff are excellent, but changing their hours of operation on the day of is not good business practice. I had an early doctor's appointment in Peters and then decided to drive out to Oak Hill. After paying for parking and attempting to enter, we noticed they were closed, despite seeing workers inside. It's odd and unpredictable to suddenly change the hours of operation on their customers. If they decide to do this again, they should consider giving their customers a heads up online at least a week in advance, rather than on the day of.

BEWARE NO SUBSTITUTIONS NOT LACTOSE FREE FRIENDLY.
The food was good we waited in line to order for a little while not a lot of seating.
I really wanted to order the breakfast smash but I can’t have the buttermilk biscuit due to allergies for me and my baby so I asked for a regular bun.
The lady told me I could not do that. Then she said you would have to order the all American burger and I asked if I could put an egg on it and she told me I would have to order a side egg. I didn’t really understand anything behind this and why it was so hard to just give me a different bun the burger was good I was just disappointed cause I wanted an egg with my breakfast sandwich. Everything had dairy or cheese on it also not friendly for allergies.

Dietary restrictions: Not lactose/ dairy free friendly
Couldn’t substitute the buttermilk biscuit for a bun.

Parking: Just regular paid street parking
