Quality has gone downhill. I ordered the veggie wrap expecting falafel with tasty pickles and sauce, but it was literally just fries, cheese, and ketchup. I verified there would be no cheese before ordering but it somehow ended up in there. We had to throw away our food. I would not recommend and will not be back.

Perfect for stopping by between classes, the chicken saj wrap is my personal fav.

Ordered on DoorDash for pickup, by arrival the staff claimed not receiving the order. Poor management!

I wouldn’t go here again. Food was stale, even the garlic sauce tasted very artificial. I have never had such a worse experience before.

One of the worst Mediterranean food I have ever eaten! Had chicken wings and chicken platter and had to throw both of them away. Chicken wings was pungent and chicken in the platter was definitely not fresh.

I ordered my shawarma with all the toppings. I got chicken and what I think we're pickle strips. No sauces, no lettuce/cabbage, no cheese, no tomatoes, no cucumbers, no peppers. The only explanation I can think of is that there may have been a language barrier issue. I usually get shawarma from Reading terminal market in Philly, and if those are the metric by which others are measured, then this one was a distant 2nd. It was still very tasty, and definitely worth it, but I cannot give it 5 stars. The salad was pretty good, and a very good size, if somewhat heavy on the parsley.
As it is a stand, there is only outdoor seating, and just a few small tables, right at the corner of a somewhat busy intersection, so grabbing food to go is likely to make for a more pleasant place to sit. There is a little bit of seating in a small garden area just a few steps away, which looked quite nice.

I got the reply from the owner, they are really polite and I thanks a lot to them. I was a little too mad yesterday. Normally, the shawarma here tastes awesome. I recommended the beef one.

Orginal Comment:

I ordered at least 10+ times here, never had a problem. Today, a staff gave me a shawarma with horrible meat!! Hard as rock and burned, tastes like bones and sand.

Using bad quality leftover meat for your customer is not acceptable!!

I waited for 15 minutes of the cook and cashier not being able to ring up my order of loaded fries and them having to call a woman offsite to help them put it into the system. Then, their payment system failed three times before my payment went through. I saw the transaction go through on their card reader, however there seemed to be no technology to provide a receipt. The cook claimed I still hadn’t paid even though I had. I told him how I saw the transaction was approved on the card reader. He again claimed I hadn’t paid. After waiting for 15 minutes for a simple order with no substitutions or amendments and then trying to get me to pay twice for the order, I told them to cancel my order for the alleged transaction that didn’t occur. As I walked away I checked my banking app and sure enough the transaction had gone through. I filed a dispute with my bank to get my money back.

This was my first time ordering from Omar’s Halal Grill trying to save time in between classes. They weren’t apologetic nor did they try to rectify the situation or check their system in any way. I don’t appreciate the insinuation that I’m a thief, nor do I appreciate their attempt to get me to pay twice for a single order. Since the cook was convinced I was trying to steal food I’ve provided a screenshot as evidence. I will not be returning.

Omar’s Halal Grill is a decent place if you’re looking for a quick halal meal, but overall my experience was just okay. The menu has a good variety, and the portion sizes are generous, which is definitely a plus. The food was flavorful enough, though I felt it could use a bit more seasoning and freshness to really stand out.

Service was polite, but the wait was longer than expected given the small crowd. The restaurant itself is casual, with limited ambiance—it works fine for a quick bite but doesn’t feel like a place to sit and enjoy a relaxed meal. Pricing is fair for the amount of food you get, though not particularly memorable compared to other halal spots in the area.

Overall, Omar’s Halal Grill gets the job done, but it didn’t leave a strong impression. A good option if you’re nearby and hungry, but not necessarily worth going out of your way for.

Food was pretty mid imo. Ordered the chicken wrap. Place has good reviews so maybe that’s just not the item to get.

A solid place if you must have something to eat which was pretty reasonably affordable. The garlic sauce is really weak and the schwarma was a bit bland. 6/10
