Without introducing herself, some woman walked up to the table where I was sitting and working from and asked me in a passive aggressive way if she could get me anything. I told her I was going to order but she was anything but polite in how she handled the interaction. Another patron had JUST walked in and she did the same thing to him! I think she asked him if he brought his own food. He stormed out, understandably so. Other patrons complimented my grace for handling this disrespect and embarrassment so well. I understand they have a business and aren’t just a place to use the free WiFi, but the disrespect of the mysterious women was unacceptable.

An employee berated us. My friends and I attend trivia night every other Thursday, and tonight one of the short older women working was incredibly rude, to the point where people around us were startled. It was extremely crowded, so we were standing off to the side and the staff ignored us for about 30 minutes until this woman came over and practically yelled that we “can’t just stand around without ordering anything”. Keep in mind, during trivia night you’re not supposed to self-order, you’re supposed to wait until an employee takes your order. Nobody greeted us, nobody gave us a menu or waters and then she berated us for not ordering anything. It was her job to ask us what we wanted and instead of doing that she just jumped to the conclusion that we weren’t going to order, even though we wanted to. Other staff members were nice to us, but she just kept glaring the whole night and ruined the fun of trivia. Most of us work service jobs, so we understand if it’s busy, but that does not give someone the excuse to be that rude.

Smoothies are not made of real fruit. Mine was only made up of a very sweet concentrate and ice and maybe water since all the ice floated to the top. The option to add yogurt was not mentioned to me. as you can see from the photo, it was just the fruit syrup and ice.

I brought a group of 17 into the cafe and they handled it so well! They were kind and efficient. There was plenty of seating for us.
The coffee was some of the best I’ve had and the pastries were fantastic! The selection was unique and authentic.
I had the breakfast wrap which was quite good as well.
Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!

We came into Orbis Caffe with a large party and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They moved quickly to get us our orders. The environment was cozy and welcoming with different seating options (tables, couch, bar seating). The tiramisu was amazing, as was the coffee. Would definitely recommend!

Horrible service interaction with yet again the same order lady who is basically rude to everyone.

As someone who is in there weekly I sat down with an associate for less than 10 mins and this woman comes up and demands and order. I let her know I would be in a min. Less than 30 secs come over and demands to have one now.

As someone who sets meetings and goes there often as I can walk there I will never give a penny to this business again

Customer service lacking, as I'm seeing is a trend for this once loved staple

Uodate: as more ppl are seeing from the reviews left ownership obviously does not have a business tac nor knowingly how to handle themselves professional. Look at other reviews. Explains why more ppl are raving about new establishments and why only 3 ppl were in there yesterday.

Good luck with your declining business.

I had coffee and southwest hash. Everything was good. I was with 3 other people, they liked their food too.

We only had coffees, but the atmosphere, service, and coffee were all top notch. It was also nice that they were open later on a Saturday, so we could get coffee after dinner.

This place is great. Many options as far as coffee drinks, and seems to be quite the spot for interesting drop coffee selections. Their rotating menu is worth checking out. Service with a smile, plenty of seating, and a good location in the heart of Mt. Lebanon

It pains me to downgrade the review to four stars but with another poor service interaction, it is clear there’s a systemic issue with the attitude of the staff. There’s a general feeling of not wanting to interact with people or to provide anything beyond the bare minimum.

One of my favorite coffee shops not just in the South Hills but in all of Pittsburgh! Reliable drinks with rotating specialty coffees, solid food options on weekdays and a nice brunch on weekends. Today I got the breakfast wrap and a cortado, came out wonderfully.

This place makes a damn good cappuccino with oatmilk. I'm not in Mt. Lebanon often, but I now know where to get a well made cappuccino when I am.

Superb food and coffee! I’m amazed they can offer such high quality food at such a reasonable price. The atmosphere is busy, but very relaxed. Great vibe, and you can hear each other talk.

The best coffee in town. Highly recommend it. A good place to meet for a chat as well.
I wish they had more vegan food options, other than vegan blueberry muffins (they are good btw).
Works as a bar in the evenings. Has an excellent atmosphere

Vegetarian options: Some good vegan options. Wish for more

Parking: Cheap street parking if you are staying for less than an hour
