Not friendly. Would not go back.
Absolutely love this cafe! It’s such a nice, warm vibe inside, great to meet up, chat, or get some work done! The Apple Chai Latte was so incredibly delicious, could not ask for a better warm drink for the winter than chai with apple cider. Great staff, great spot, one of the favorite in Mount Lebanon!
At first, we thought this is more a “dining cafe” rather than a “cafe cafe,” but it turned out quite a lot of people worked at the cafe.
The cafe has a bar section with quite a decent selection of food/desserts. We ordered an eggnog latte and was good (although most particularly amazing).
What I like the most was its variety of seatings—couch area, bar tables, etc and quite a few outlets throughout the cafe.
We also tried the cinnamon roll; it was okay.
The food and drinks are decent, although not my fav in the. Overall, it’s definitely a cozy and cute place to work at and we’d come back again to work here again.

I don't know how this place has so many good reviews, maybe we caught them on a night that they weren't on their game, but my experience was my experience.
My partner and I came in on the first Friday of October around 8 pm. We were celebrating a birthday and wanted a drink or two before we went to dinner elsewhere. Aware that Orbis closed at 9 and we were just getting drinks, we opted to sit at the bar when one of the four people behind the counter asked if we wanted a table.
I counted about a dozen other patrons throughout the rest of the establishment.
We ordered two drinks from their menu, and my Espresso Martini was delivered to me wordlessly by the one person behind the counter and arrived a full 5 minutes prior to my partner's Moscow Mule, which was made by a different person behind the counter, leaving us sitting there staring at my drink while we waited for the Moscow Mule so we could make a toast.
Neither drink was particularly good. They weren't bad, but they weren't good.
But wouldn't you know it, when we asked for the check, that was delivered quickly and with sudden friendliness from the person who delivered my Espresso Martini.
The music wasn't loud, so that was nice in terms of being able to have a conversation.
Maybe they're better before the sun goes down, but lack of customer service skills on the staff's part and an inordinately long wait (without explanation) for our second libation means I won't be patronizing Orbis again; there are plenty of other establishments along Washington Road that can offer me a better experience.

Without introducing herself, some woman walked up to the table where I was sitting and working from and asked me in a passive aggressive way if she could get me anything. I told her I was going to order but she was anything but polite in how she handled the interaction. Another patron had JUST walked in and she did the same thing to him! I think she asked him if he brought his own food. He stormed out, understandably so. Other patrons complimented my grace for handling this disrespect and embarrassment so well. I understand they have a business and aren’t just a place to use the free WiFi, but the disrespect of the mysterious women was unacceptable.
An employee berated us. My friends and I attend trivia night every other Thursday, and tonight one of the short older women working was incredibly rude, to the point where people around us were startled. It was extremely crowded, so we were standing off to the side and the staff ignored us for about 30 minutes until this woman came over and practically yelled that we “can’t just stand around without ordering anything”. Keep in mind, during trivia night you’re not supposed to self-order, you’re supposed to wait until an employee takes your order. Nobody greeted us, nobody gave us a menu or waters and then she berated us for not ordering anything. It was her job to ask us what we wanted and instead of doing that she just jumped to the conclusion that we weren’t going to order, even though we wanted to. Other staff members were nice to us, but she just kept glaring the whole night and ruined the fun of trivia. Most of us work service jobs, so we understand if it’s busy, but that does not give someone the excuse to be that rude.
Smoothies are not made of real fruit. Mine was only made up of a very sweet concentrate and ice and maybe water since all the ice floated to the top. The option to add yogurt was not mentioned to me. as you can see from the photo, it was just the fruit syrup and ice.
