This is not a family establishment. They do not serve food and prefer not to serve people of color.
Definitely getting in contact with the NAACP to make them aware of the racist atmosphere. People of color show them how it’s done.
The Owner likes to call his customers and employees “N-ggers, thugs, lowlife losers, and Moulies.” He doesn’t want POC in the bar. Do not spend your money here.
There racist and are video callin ppl N-ggers
I will never go back to this place again I over heard the the guy that runs the place call this lady the N-word when I checked him on it he tried to say I heard wrong. So I ask the young lady and confirmed what I heard. And I asked her why does she work for somebody like that? She said I just needed a job cause I am from out of town. I will give this place a negative if they allow me to. So don’t go spend your money at this establishment. Let’s Boycott it
Friendly, engaging staff and customers; Clean environment; I'd visit again and again 😎

No food, which I'm now glad they didn't have any after reading their health department violations. The bar tender was clueless on what beer they had, and they also don't have anything on tap. No CO2 so my friend's drink was flat. Did I mention the second floor is burned-out? No windows up there, so it's exposed to the elements. I won't be going back. Here's a picture of a sad balloon left on the floor when we were there.
Felt like this needed to be posted here !!!!!

From the latest health inspection: Unsound food source and condition, insufficient facilities to maintain temperature, inadequate cross-contamination prevention, improper employee personal hygiene, insufficient cleaning and sanitization, inadequate water supply, improper plumbing, insufficient handwashing facilities, inadequate pest management, improper storage and use of toxic items, and lack of a Certified Food Protection Manager.
Ormsby Ave Café on Ormsby Avenue was shut down by the health department after an inspection on Thursday.
The inspection report lists several high-risk violations, including a "mold-like substance" on "various food products" in the preparation cooler in the kitchen and raw meat stored incorrectly in a refrigeration unit. An employee had also stored a half-eaten sandwich on top of food in a beer cooler, the report said.

Great little bar with an incredible full length shuffleboard. The bartender Sean was super friendly and attentive. One of those bars where you feel like you’re treated like a regular the moment you walk in the door. Definitely want to go back for some of the live music they have there. Huge emphasis on showcasing great local bands.
