Me and my fiancee decided to stop by Pamela’s Diner for breakfast this morning for my birthday and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience. We were seated right away and our server Ashley was not only extremely attentive to us but to every other guests in the establishment. She made sure to check on every table and to make sure both ours and their coffees were hot and refilled upon request which was equally as good! I had the egg combo scrambled with Italian bread toast, fries and turkey sausage patties and it was phenomenal! I would definitely visit Pamela’s Diner again, it truly embodied what a homegrown family owned dining establishment should be for tourists and locals alike! Thank you so much for making my birthday trip to the great Steel City of Pittsburgh a memorable one!

We were able to sneak in right after the big snowstorm; when we left there were 40 people waiting! Well worth it though - fast service and excellent food. Huge portions so make sure you're ready. We had the lyonnaise potatoes - sooo good! Gails Eggs were the softest, creamiest scrambled eggs ever. Corned beef hash was very good as well. Our server was pleasant and the food was hot and fresh. If you go early enough you shouldn't have to wait too long.

Pamela's was highly recommended online and at the hotel. While I was seated almost immediately and was just a party of one. The food was mediocre at best and tasted as if it was heavily cooked in spam cooking spray. I had scrambled eggs, bacon and home fries fruit. I really enjoy a great breakfast and had high expectations from this establishment. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them for mediocre food even if the service is fantastic.

I really enjoyed the food overall. The pancakes were very good, and the bacon was crispy and delicious. The corned beef with hash browns was excellent — super tasty and well prepared.

The only downside was the cold chocolate drink; it lacked flavor and tasted mostly like milk. Also, I’d suggest offering bottled water, since the tap water has a very strong taste and isn’t very pleasant.

Overall, great food and solid breakfast options. I’d definitely come back.

I always rate places based on what they are. A five-star rating doesn’t mean the same thing for a fine-dining restaurant as it does for a diner or a sandwich shop. I know where I’m eating, and I rate accordingly — the stars reflect the type of place and the experience it’s meant to offer.

TL;DR This place is amazing. Highly recommend for breakfast.

The family went here for a mid morning breakfast. I hadn't been to a Pamela's before but the one in the strip district is great. The atmosphere of a 50s style diner was great. While it's a smaller place probably by design, our party of 5 wasn't cramped at all. We ordered everything from the crepe style pancakes to the chorizo hash. The pancakes were delicious, the hash had good flavor and a nice spicy kick to it. The coffee was good and fresh, too... It's usually burnt at diners.

Our waitress was terrific. Since this was our first time there, it took us a while to figure out what to get. She was patient and answered all of our questions about the food. She knew if the eggs had milk in them, if the potatoes were gluten free, what kind of butter they use in the potatoes... She rattled that all of and didn't need to check with the kitchen. Our server was terrific too. The food came out fast and the order was complete. She didn't need to run back for anything and nothing was forgotten or mixed up.

This place gets really busy mid to late morning and you can tell why just but the ambiance and the food. Will definitely go again when it warms up and we can sit outside.

The most beautiful breakfast of my life. The chorizo hash stole the show. They sat all 13 of us no problem. Our server was a literal angel descended from the heavens and had a smile on her face the entire time.

This place always seems to be packed with a line waiting but they handle it very well and you get seated rather quickly. Service was excellent with multiple people stopping to keep our coffee full at all times. the Pittsburgh Hash and their Crepe style pancakes are amazing. So many great items on the menu to try makes you want to keep coming back. Way better than going to any chain restaurant.
