How do you not rate Pamela's 5 stars? Their specialty is the strawberry pancakes, and they are to die for, truly amazing. But here's the thing, their eggs are out of this world. So are their lyonnaise potatoes, and their corned beed hash. You can't go wrong with anything here. I only visit once a month for the last 20 years or so, but service in the three locations I've been to has always been excellent.

I love Pamela's! Their pancakes are like no other and if you have never enjoyed them you should. This location is one I have visited often. The service is great and you get to hang out with Space Cat. Look at my pics to understand.

We ordered the strawberry pancakes that are supposedly crepe style. They were good but not even close to crepe style - had they been advertised as fluffy pancakes we probably would have eaten elsewhere because that's not what we were looking for. The coffee was bad especially for $3. One kid got a side of fries and they were inedible. Undercooked and cold. The other kid got scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and potatoes. The potatoes were excellent. The bacon was ok. Slightly flaccid. The toast was barely toasted with a tiny bit of butter in the middle. The eggs were overcooked and rubbery. Only the bacon and potatoes were eaten. The mural was adorable but the space isn't comfortable.

Best breakfast in the area! Had the strawberry crepe pancakes (hold the sour cream!) and they were excellent.

I've been to all of the Pamela's locations and they all serve up the same consistency and quality for a reasonable price! (Side note: If it's been awhile since you've visited, they are no longer cash only and do take credit cards now!) If you are looking for a trendy, boujie brunch spot, stop reading. Pamela's gives 1950s poodle skirts and soda float vibes. With a classic breakfast menu featuring the famous crepe-style pancakes (I promise you can't go wrong with either the strawberry hotcakes (tip: ask for extra brown sugar) or the banana chocolate chip hotcakes), their large portions will leave you more than satisfied. Expect very simple drinks - simple brewed coffee, hot chocolate, hot tea, and several juices make up their breakfast beverage selections. And while no matter the time of day I visit, I always opt for one of the two aforementioned crepe flavors, so I've never tried their lunch selections. The lunch menu is uncomplicated featuring mostly sandwiches and salads with a variety of sides, but I have no doubt it would be tasty! Personally I just can never have too many of their crepes so I get them every single time!

Some of the older reviews mention this place being cash only, which was the case when we came to this place originally, back in 2017. They take cards now.Food was great. The lyonnaise potatoes are worth getting as an extra if they don't come with what you order.

Me: There’s no way the pancakes could possibly live up to the hype.Me, six pancakes later: I might move to Pittsburgh for these.Oh! And the egg dishes are also amazing. We went twice in a single week! Don’t miss out, Pamela’s pancakes are everything and more!!

This place was on nearly everyone's list of must-do's in Pittsburgh. So, we made it happen. Maybe it was the day after the Patriots Steelers game and maybe breakfast was at 1:30 for us, but we made it. Everything was delicious. We did a table share of blueberry hot cakes as an app. Filled the tummies and overall loved it. Chorizo hash was the right choice for me.
