We were passing through and stopped to meet a good friend for Sunday breakfast. Our first time at Pamela's, we went with our friend's suggestions. The food was awesome, and the servings were more than ample. Our server was friendly and helpful! The pancakes were to die for as were the Lyonnaise potatoes. We will definitely make it a destination the next time we are in the area.

The food is delicious, but admittedly, I have only ever eaten a variety of breakfast offerings. My son said the burger was good also but highly recommend

Best crepes I have ever had. It is usually a bit of wait, but it is well worth it. Food gets better and better every time I go. Seating is a bit crowded but not uncomfortable.

I got an omelette here and it was delicious!!! It was a tex-mex omelette. wow it was so good. It filled me up for the entire day. I didn't eat again the rest of the day it was so much and so good I couldn't waste it! Their potatoes are my favorite!!!

Loved eating here when we were in Pittsburgh! Delicious, affordable breakfast food with good quantity! I personally loved the Tex-Mex omelet, and I’d definitely come back for that!

My colleague and I meet here regularly on the weekends. I feel that it is a great diner that starts to become busy after about 10:00 a.m. The portions are large and the service is very quick. The food quality is average, but I do not care as I am here to have a good conversation with my buddy. Also, the waiters keep filling your cup of coffee frequently and check to make sure that everything is good.I will recommend this place if you need a good central spot to meet someone and have a heavy breakfast or brunch.Vegetarian options: Veggie omelette and a few vegetarian options on the crepe.

My favorite is the Morning After breakfast special with specialty hotcakes – it's very satisfying. The portion size is large. Their crepe-style specialty hotcakes are the best and very original. There's generally a wait during their peak hours on weekends.

Pamela's is a Pittsburgh staple for a hearty, diner style breakfast. You don't come here for health food, you come here for greasy deliciousness - and always leave full. The Pamela's in Shadyside is one large windowless room with a drop ceiling and three columns of tables. There's a serving station and kitchen window in the back. The wall sports some cute murals of different Pittsburghers. Overall the decor is casual and nothing fancy. If you want the same menu with true old school diner ambiance I recommend the original P&G Diner in Millvale. This particular visit was on a cold Sunday morning. We arrived around 9:30a and were able to sit immediately. A line started to accumulate around 10a so if you don't want to wait - plan to arrive before the rush! We ordered several omelette with their classic Lyonnaise potatoes and toast, and the banana walnut pancakes. The portions are always large - if you're a light eater I recommend sharing! The omelettes are wrapped around a generous amount of filling. The potatoes are my favorite breakfast potatoes in the world - perfectly soft, crispy, and buttery. The pancakes are a thin crepe style and I think they're better stuffed with filling than simply on their own. Service was quick and friendly. Our food came out shortly after ordering and there was plenty of staff checking in and refilling our drinks throughout the meal.

Pamela's has just the best crepe hot cakes and this location had lovely paintings on the walls.

I decided to give this diner a try out of sheer curiosity and the goal to introduce my family to the American brunch culture. Didn’t expect this to be a popular place—when I stepped in, the restaurant was packed with long waiting lines. Remember to put your name down on the waiting list! We got a fan’s favorite scramble egg with cream cheese and home’s special hotcakes with turkey patty sausage. The scramble egg was not our favorite, but the hotcakes were worth trying! Huge portion, fresh and hot pancakes with moist and savory sausage. I thought having butter on top of the cakes could be a little greasy after few bites, so next time I’d just put it aside. Very interesting place to have breakfast/lunch with family and friends.

Coffee was bad. Partner ordered Banana and chocolate chip crepe and was given strawberry. My crepe was dry, nasty blueberries and clumps of brown sugar. Potatoes were super greasy and not in a good way. Really disappointing because it used to be good.

One of my favorite food places in Shadyside. Almost like a must go for me during weekend brunch. My favorite and go-to are their home fries- crispy and well seasoned. But otherwise their menu is pretty typical of a diner menu, eggs, bacon, toast, etc. their hot cakes are good as well, crunchy edges with the sweet syrup.Spacious seating, but I would be wary of how busy it gets in the morning. Friendly staff and quick service times. I would definitely recommend coming here.
