I like Panera. Sure it's a tad expensive, but I do feel like it's better quality food than other "fast" food chains. Their value duets are pretty fairly priced I think. Great place to meet friends and spend time without being interrupted. Staff greeted me then left me alone until I was ready to order. Ordering was easy and the women who were making the food were very friendly and kept me informed about how much longer it would take. Prices are ridiculous. $9 for bagel with egg and cheese and an iced tea. I try to minimize what I buy here but enjoy sitting here and having my free refills. The only way that it makes sense to order anything.
5 stars for the main manager. I often frequent them, Mount Lebanon and Greentree location, and I often feel like no one’s paying attention to me. I will stand there waiting for an order for minutes before anybody asks if I can be helped.

On two separate occasions when I went to pick up my food in the Caste Village Panera, the African-American woman working behind the pickup counter is quick, efficient, and kind. Something that you don’t see as much anymore....
