The pork, beans and amarillitos were amazing in the pabellon bowl. Pair it with a parchita

Best areas I've had from a restaurant! Had a Venezuelan roommate in college and have been friends for 20 yrs. Eaten many areas at restaurants and homemade and these were perfect!I got this nice juicy arepa with a wonderfully crispy corn flour shell and could not have been more pleased with it. Excellent blend of ingredients! I got the pabellon with seasoned shredded chicken, plantain, black beans, and quest fresco, smeared both sauces on and got into the messy traditional Venezuelan hand "taco". With some minor effort it didn't completely fall apart, just a few bites of ingredients fell out. That means they didn't skimp on the food but also didn't overload it to bursting. Perfect! Paired it with a classic Venezuelan Malta barley soda. Yum!The decor here is exactly how it should be you guys are doing an awesome job and 4.8 stars right now is Ballin! ROCK ON, Papelon!Don't mind the honey in the photo, I got it down the street from the Squirrel Hill Market. My wife loves the dark buckwheat honey and the kids will be delighted with the honey sticks.

I'm still working my way through their menu, but I'm already pretty sure that this is my new favorite restaurant.

This place is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend everyone try it. All the arepas and the bowls are amazing. The passion fruit juice is delicious too. Don't skip it!

I'm Venezuelan, I was a tourist and I went for a cachapa that doesn't taste like cachapa, the cheese is very bad, the pork is something melted that looks like roast or something similar and instead of some custard they give garlic sauce, the criticism doesn't support it. I do it for the bad of the business if not for the good, let's try to do quality things so that they continue to have customers, this is my constructive criticism, good luck.

The arepas were fresh and filled to the brim with toppings but very expensive for Arepas.

Perfectly seasoned. Generous portions. Try the Papelon lemonade. The Leo’s arepa was the most interesting and delicious combo of ingredients I’ve ever had in an arepa. First time trying a cachapa - sweet pancake folded and filled with cheese and meat.

Hands down the best Arepa I have ever had — went for the pabellon with beef and it was delicious. The plantains and sauce were great. All the staff were super nice and helpful. Papellon drink I got on the side was also really refreshing. Great stop for lunch.
