We attend for Sunday Brunch and the food was wonderful. Just mentioning we sat at 10am when the restaurant opened and I ordered a plain croissant. I was told they only made the croissants for another dish and maybe did not have any other croissants available. They did offer a chocolate pastry instead. I agreed. Just be flexible with them and the menu as it is a smaller establishment. Food took about 45 min to prepare, and it was delicious. This experience is about taking the time to enjoy the moment; it is not a rushed in and out brunch. The food was worth the wait as it was delicious. Our waiter was wonderful and charming. Overall was a great experience for a French brunch!
Have been to it several times this Summer. Unfortunately this time filet grossly overcooked and service between courses horrible. And the Restaurant did not seem to care. Learned the lesson of not going to it on a Saturday and hopefully they learn to be more attentive to their customers.
It was a lovely meal from beginning to end. Take your time to linger over the flavor and the vibe.
We hadn't been to Paris 66 for quite a while, and were very pleased to see it is just as good as we remembered. We ate outside on the patio, which though it was a little warm, it wasn't sunny, and it wasn't crowded so very quiet and rather peaceful. We enjoyed our meals. The Fruit-de-Mer was outstanding, and the desserts of crepe and lemon tart were wonderful. Their menu isn't large, but is sufficient. Be aware, though, that everything is a la carte, so it all adds up.
Great experience! 1st time guests. Staff was very engaging. Ambiance was quaint. Menu had a nice collection of classic French dishes.
Excellent service & staff is very kind. We had a medical situation & everyone was terrific.
Sadly we won't be coming back...really loved this little place for many years but the owner just doesn't care at all anymore. I ordered the croque madam, I was shocked that the kitchen sent it out, it was completely burnt with a dark black char, my mom had quiche and it too was overcooked, the omelets were nice. The sandwich by the way is $17 for what appears to be two lives of Pepperidge farm bread a slice is ham and a bit of cheese....But the real kick is that they are now charging 3% of the bill if you use a credit card....sorry Paris 66....far too many options in Pittsburgh to treat patrons this way. I love supporting a small local business but your food has gone done and the prices are sky high.
As usual, had an amazing meal! The appetizers (asparagus salad and mussels) were great, everyone loved their entrees (coq au vin, Kobe bavette, and salmon), and the rose wine was enjoyed by everyone! Amazing waiter - funny, attentive, friendly.
Some of the smallest portion sizes that I have seen in a restaurant and relative to the steep cost you are paying for the food, it left us pretty disappointed. My wife and I both were still hungry after and ate other leftovers at home. Food quality was ok, but nothing you can't find anywhere else for cheaper.
In response to your comment, the fruits de mer was 3 shrimp, I believe 4 mussels, and a medium sized piece of fish in a broth.
You can find this in many local restaurants with more seafood included. My wife and I ordered one filet (which was quite small with no sides) the fruits de mer, one side of potatoes, one side of fries, and one soup. The cost was more than our family grocery bill for a week. I think most people would find this unreasonable.
Noisy Terrace dining area. The male server got into interminable and loud conversations with the two other tables seated on the terrace. My date and I were having very subdued conversations, but literally could not hear other half the time. Food was very good.

One of my favorite French place, we were here for Mother’s Day brunch. Food was good as usual, but 3 course menu was overpriced imo. We’ve been here during regular hours and know the price pretty well.
Decent cuisine, but extremely erratic service with multiple mistakes. Waited over 30 minutes for the first course. Added an automatic 20% tip to the bill. Very overpriced.
Early on a Wednesday evening for dinner. Sat on back patio and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Service was attentive and timely, food was delicious and as more patrons arrived , noise level was low and not distracting. Best French menu in Pittsburgh!
Wait staff was nice but please fill water glasses and don’t upsale champagne and wine selections. What’s with the credit card surcharge? Just be a cash only establishment. Owner is very rude ( read reviews to see his replies to paying customers who would have the audacity to question his “French” restaurant management skills)! A gift card would be nice to Casbah possibly? Why would I want a gift card to your hostile environment
The number of arguments you get into with your clientele is extremely telling. I never screamed at anyone, btw. I simply said that this policy was unfair and that we will never make another reservation again. Instead of arguing with everyone on Google reviews, why don’t you figure out a system that works for everyone at your establishment? We won’t be coming tomorrow, go ahead and charge us $60. This hassle and anxiety over brunch isn’t worth it.
The management here needs to take a hospitality course. I made a reservation for a Sunday at 2:00 for 5 people. Some of our guests had something unforeseen happen and are unable to make it. I called to cancel the reservation 26 hours before we were set to arrive and was told if we didn’t still come, we would be charged $30 per person. The guy on the phone was really intense about it and was almost gleeful in making sure to put me in my place by telling me that the policy is very clearly stated on Open Table. Oh, excuse me, Mr. Jail Warden. So, now my husband and I have to go eat at a restaurant with a rude obnoxious manager or owner or whoever he was staring at as while we eat a forced meal. I will never book another reservation or step foot in this place willingly again. I’m also dreading having to go there against my will or be charged $60. No thank you.
