Love going to Penn society after the club to see Matt the bartender. The atmosphere is great and he always makes me a fancy drink and keeps the vibes up. Everytime I go out I end up there to see him they always treat me great. Love Kelly and Lenny too they do a great job keeping everything in order. 10/10 have been coming here for years and will keep going! Always recommend them to people who ask where to go after hours.

Matt and Kelly always make this the best bar. Matt makes the BEST espresso martinis in the city. Kelly always makes sure everyone is tended to at the bar with care and quickness. This is my go to spot for anyone who asks where to visit because Lenny the head of security doesn’t allow foolishness so it’s a very safe and yet fun environment!! This has been and will always be the best place for a weekend cocktail!

This place has completely fallen. It used to have the best hip hop dj now they scan your eyeballs, play Taylor Swift and cotton eye joe on Pandora while your stuffed in a prison cell. Corny!

You can't hear the music in this basement, the staff is rude and vulgar, this guy who appears in the photo smoking during working hours yelled at me in front of everyone while I was waiting for my Uber quietly asking me rudely and in a bad tone why I was recording the police officer to whom I am in all my right as a citizen of this country to record legally as established by the statutes of the constitution I never plan to return to this place so vulgar and I hope they take action with this irresponsible subject

Important judicial precedents:

1. Glik v. Cunniffe (2011) — Court of Appeals of the First Circuit:

• He ruled that recording police officers in public is a right clearly established under the First Amendment.

2. Turner v. Driver (2017) — Fifth Circuit:

• It recognized the general right to record the police, although not fully defined in all contexts.

3. Fields v. City of Philadelphia (2017) — Third Circuit:

• He confirmed that there is a constitutional right to record the police, even without being linked to the formal press.

Good drinks, good env though I went at a slow time apparently. Wish the menu had prices just to be clear

Google Maps says this place is on second floor but it's actually basement level, can't find a way to update it, thanks Google Maps haha

We had our wedding at Penn Society and it was absolutely amazing! We worked with Kelly, and she was incredible, as were the bartenders, chef, DJs, security, ownership, and everyone else involved. We were honestly blown away by how amazing of a job everyone did---everything went perfectly! So many of our guests called it the best wedding they have ever attended. And several others were mesmerized by how cool of a space Penn Society is. We have already been brainstorming excuses to do another event there! If you are looking for an awesome venue to hold your wedding or some other large event, pick Penn Society!

The overall structure of this place is honestly a mess. From the service at the door to how the facility is run, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a social club — and I’ve been to quite a few across the country.

It was extremely overcrowded, and the tall bouncer with the long white/grey beard was loud, unprofessional, and disrespectful. He was shouting about how many people could still be let in, giving inconsistent information, and letting people cut the line without any kind of reservation or table. It was frustrating and completely unfair to everyone else waiting.

Also, the fact that they only accept cash felt sketchy, and the staff offered no real explanation or alternative. Tribe doesn’t seem to care much about being accommodating or creating a good guest experience. After having a great time at another spot earlier in the night, this was a huge letdown. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.
