Drove across town because this place was rated as a good place to get steak sandwiches. Disappointing. Bread was not terrible but cold and a bit too sweet. The sandwich had maybe a third of the meat you'd expect, and it tasted like freezer burnt steak-ums. The reviews and pictures saying this place is a great steak sandwich place must've been from a different era.
Primanti Bros gets the attention, but every time I come to Pittsburgh for a game I go to Peppi's. Home of the Roethlis-burger (fantastic) Peppi's is a must visit. It's also close to Yinzer's so there's plenty of places to pick up some gear before or after you grab a sandwich. I love this place!

Originally Pennsylvania born and raised. It’s been 10 years since I’ve had a real PA Cheese Steak! Last week I’ve made the journey from New Zealand to Pittsburgh. I was highly advised to get my Cheese Steak Hoagie from Peppi’s! It was hands down a 10/10 Hoagie! But the icing on the cake was the super friendly staff and the atmosphere!
