Periwinkle’s Bakery and Cafe

We had our Employee Appreciation Breakfast here this morning because of a quality experience a few of my colleagues and I had here last week. We already had planned on another venue until we visited. It was clear we needed to change venues when we tasted the food and pastries! Coffee is excellent as well. Extremely friendly staff. Great atmosphere. 5 stars

Their cookies are delicious. Tried the chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and the M&M. Also tried a mini cherry cheesecake which was yummy but a little pricey. 5.50 for a teeny tiny cheesecake. But the cookies were only a dollar a piece! The staff was friendly.

We checked this place out for the first time. We were impressed with the food. My wife got the Mushroom and Swiss quiche. I got the almond croissant and a Boston cream donut. All incredible. Pretty sure it's my favorite Boston cream ever. It actually had custard all the way through.

Friendly service and a ton of options! Very neat and clean. Delicious bakery items. Haven't tried lunch yet but looking forward to it.

Went in for a dozen donuts on Veterans Day to take with me to work. Their baker did a fantastic job decorating the donuts in military and USA themes. They were to nice to eat but we ate them! They were delicious!! Delicious coffee as well!!

Had a Reuben on spiral rye (amazing bread) and a double decker BLT. Reasonably priced. The staff was very patient and thank God for that because I'm pretty dumb.I strongly suggest the Nutella croissant.

Massive inside lots of room for group events. Good selection of baked goods, cakes and some breakfast/lunch items. Parking is easy. Workers are all eager to help. Lots of great cookies and a decent selection of donuts as well.

Had the pleasure of visiting Periwinkles for our first time on a rainy Saturday. It did not disappoint!! We left with nothing short of “1 of everything” and wearing two smiles. Periwinkles satisfies my cookie cravings while allowing my boyfriend to enjoy some hot wedding soup. I highly suggest the warmed quiche, I could probably eat a whole one myself! But the mini is just enough for 1 and leaves room for dessert! Jim provided excellent customer service and, needless to say, I am looking forward to my next visit!!

Very clean and friendly place. The beautiful cakes and pastries greet you as you enter the bakery. The prices are very reasonable. They have a large assortment of goodies to choose from that it makes it hard to leave without buying more than you wanted.

This is an extremely average to slightly below average bakery. I have only tried the sweets from Periwinkle's, but they have all been just okay. A bit similar in quality to Giant Eagle's bakery.Glazed donut had a decent tasting glaze and a good portion. Donut holes are about the same as what you would get from Dunkin but they are larger. Jam filled donut tastes almost exactly like the Dunkin Donuts jam donut. No homemade flavor or uniqueness from these items.The slightly more interesting donut, an MnM topped chocolate glaze, left me a bit disappointed as well. Some of its glaze stuck to the top of the box and there weren't that many MnMs.There seemed to be a donut with whipped cream on it, and that one was just odd to me. Overall, portions and prices are okay but the food is just extremely average at best, most likely below average in comparison to other local bakeries. Pretty disappointing for a new bakery.

Very happy this establishment is now open and I am looking forward to the restaurant and bar sections opening. Perfectly located just off of Rt. 28 with ample parking. I went early on a Saturday morning and there were a few people already getting their baked goods. Love that they open at 7 am on Saturday and it is important to know they are closed on Sunday’s. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and asked if I was ready to order. They had ample staff, everyone was friendly and was able to answer the questions I had. As you can see from the pictures they had a ton of baked goods. I did not see any bread, breakfast sandwiches or pizza and that is my only negative comment. I did see a day old bread section. They have lots of coffee and seating. I took my baked goods to go and I am very happy with the freshness and quality. This is definitely a place I will visit again. Great Job!!!

Oh my goodness is all I can say! I worked with Kelly on a full sheet cake, smash cake and rice krispy treats for my son’s first birthday! My expectations were far far exceeded and the cake was just as beautiful as it was amazing. She recommended a white cake with buttercream icing and raspberry filling…the cake was so delicious guests were asking for a to go bag…that has never happened with any bakery I have used! Luckily we went bigger and got the full sheet cake as it was completely gone when we left! I will for sure order from them again and if you want a no-stress process with amazing customer service you too should call Periwinkles! Thank you Kelly for going above and beyond for my sweet P!

We have a business in RIDC Park and used Periwinkle's to cater a meeting for us. They did a fantastic job and made delicious sandwiches, salads, and a pastry tray for our team. Everything was delicious and also thoughtfully packaged. Sandwiches and salads were in sealed individual containers.Highly recommend Periwinkle's beyond just the restaurant and bakery. Let them cater your next lunch meeting.

Great new addition to RIDC Park. I stopped for the first time to get donuts for a customer and was not disappointed. Large assortment, fresh and really good. They also have hot and cold foods if you want something quick and fresh for lunch. The facility is very nice, clean and well appointed. Pleasant staff! This may become my new “satellite office”.

The building is large and new and has lots of parking spaces outside. The employee’s service was friendly and prompt. The displays showcased a wide variety of desserts. My favorite desserts were the linzer cookie, snickerdoodle cookie, lady locks, and pecan roll.
